Supreme Court of France Goes Full Eco-Fascist: Declares War on Working-Class Drivers to Protect Sacred Climate Lockdowns:

PARIS, France – In a move straight out of the radical environmentalist playbook, France’s so-called Constitutional Council just overturned the will of Parliament and the French people by annulling the suppression of ZFE ... “Low Emission Zones.” These are the hated climate lockdowns on wheels that ban older, affordable cars from entering major cities, fining working-class drivers into oblivion while elites glide around in their taxpayer-subsidized EVs.

This decision, handed down on May 21, 2026, censored key parts of a law meant to simplify economic life and give French motorists a break. The “Sages” (the Wise Ones – what a joke) ruled that scrapping the ZFEs was a “legislative rider” with no direct link to the bill’s original purpose. Translation for Americans: unelected bureaucrats in robes just nullified a democratically passed reform because it didn’t fit their green agenda.

Here’s where it gets truly infuriating for anyone who values democracy and competence. Unlike the U.S. Supreme Court, where justices are mostly top-tier legal minds with decades of rigorous experience, France’s Constitutional Council is stacked with political appointees – often loyal insiders with zero requirement to be actual jurists.

No law degree needed. No judicial experience mandatory. Just political connections.
...Current president? Richard Ferrand...  Richard Ferrand has no university degree. ... A former journalist and insurance executive turned career politician, he has zero formal legal training — yet he now sits as President of France’s highest constitutional court.
...Former presidents even get lifetime seats – a bizarre holdover that lets retired politicians keep meddling.

These ZFE zones force drivers to buy expensive new vehicles or pay daily fines just to go to work, visit family, or run a business in cities like Paris, Lyon, or Marseille. It’s class warfare: wealthy urban greens virtue-signal while truckers, tradesmen, and rural commuters get screwed. Sound familiar? It’s the same insanity California and European elites are forcing on everyone else.

This is exactly what the American left wants to do here: use unelected judges and bureaucratic « wise men » (Fauci, EPA, federal courts) to impose policies the people keep rejecting at the ballot box.

Gone in 60 seconds: How high-tech thieves can steal your car:

For years, Americans were told newer cars would be harder to steal.

Smarter security and keyless entry were supposed to usher in a new era for car owners. Instead, car theft is becoming faster, quieter, and far more sophisticated.

Federal prosecutors in Washington, D.C., recently charged six people tied to an international theft ring accused of stealing more than 100 vehicles in the D.C. area.

It's how they did it that should make us all concerned: a simple handheld device that can reportedly program a new key fob directly into a vehicle’s system — sometimes in about a minute.

No broken window, no smashed ignition, no dramatic Hollywood-style escape.  Just unlock the vehicle, program a key, and drive away.

A similar thing happened to my car and my husband's while we were in the house about 15 feet away watching TV.  The next day our neighbor came to the door saying he found our registration papers in the ditch beside the road. The thieves didn't take our old cars; they just trashed whatever was inside, stole some money, left the doors open, and went all through the neighborhood doing the same. The thieves placed the fake fobs so we could find them.  The police came and just said they were probably part of a gang.  One policeman saw a fob they had left on the car's trunk and asked me, "Don't you want your key?"  I said, "It's not mine; the crooks made it."  Then he asked if he could have it (for evidence or just curiosity, I guess).  He seemed to not have any idea about this fob-making scheme.  This occurred maybe a year and a half ago.

How the H-1B visa replaces American workers:

Cheaper labor and a captive workforce incentivize companies to hire foreigners over qualified Americans.

Mary, a veteran Silicon Valley marketer who can’t find a job, considers herself a victim of an H-1B visa program run amok.

Her story, a U.S. native replaced by a foreign-born employee who is willing to work at a significantly lower wage, has become commonplace, particularly in the tech industry. Adding insult to injury, she says, her CEO, who hails from India, told her to train the man he selected to replace her before laying her off.

Despite stints at Google and Cisco and two years of job-hunting, Mary can no longer compete in a job market saturated with foreign-born H-1B visa holders. “I had experience. I should have walked right into these corporate jobs, but I didn't. Why? Because Silicon Valley is flooded with people who work for two-thirds of the price, or even half price,” said Mary, who asked to be identified only by her first name.

U.S. tech workers like Mary are at the center of a battle brewing in Washington, D.C., over reforming the troubled H-1B visa program, which is designed to fill highly skilled positions when qualified American workers can’t be found. The controversy pits tough-on-immigration Republicans and some Democrats against the most formidable of opponents — Big Tech, the primary beneficiary of a program considered by critics to be little more than a pipeline of cheap labor.

DuckDuckGo Installs Surge 30% as Consumers Reject Google ‘Force-Feeding’ AI with Search Engine:

DuckDuckGo, which positions itself as a privacy-focused alternative to Google, has experienced a significant increase in user adoption following the search giant’s announcement of major changes to its search platform that heavily incorporate AI.

TechCrunch reports that DuckDuckGo claims that U.S. app installs increased by an average of 18.1 percent week-over-week during the period from May 20 to May 25... On iOS devices specifically, the rate of installation was even more dramatic, with week-over-week growth averaging 33 percent and peaking at 69.9 percent.

“Not only do we respect user choice, but also user privacy,” Weinberg said. “Everything you do in DuckDuckGo is private; we don’t collect search histories or chats and nothing is used for AI training.”

Germany Moves to Control Social Media: ‘Trusted’ News Sources To Be Algorithmically Boosted By Law:

Germany is moving toward what critics are calling a sweeping new form of state influence over online speech, after plans surfaced to force social media platforms to prioritize content from government-approved outlets—raising serious concerns about censorship, narrative control, and the future of free expression in Europe.

According to documents obtained by Apollo News, regulators are preparing a system that would require platforms such as X, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to give preferential treatment to content from so-called “reliable” media.

What makes the proposal particularly controversial is not just the intent, but the mechanism. For the first time, state-linked authorities would directly shape the algorithms that determine what information citizens see—effectively inserting government priorities into the digital public square.

At the center of the plan is the concept of “public value” media. In theory, these are outlets that provide socially beneficial information, but in practice, critics argue, they are media organizations vetted and approved by the same political system they are meant to scrutinize.

For many critics, this crosses a fundamental line. It transforms social media from an open marketplace of ideas into a managed information ecosystem shaped by political authorities.

Supporters of the initiative claim it is necessary to combat “disinformation” and preserve democratic discourse.

... the direction is already clear. Germany appears to be moving toward a system where information is not just regulated—but actively curated by the state.
