Thanks so much! I am not familiar with David Hocking, but will check him out. I have J. Vernon McGee commentaries, but I hadn't checked to see if I could find his sermons online. I did get the feeling that no one could ever be or do enough in Paul Washer's eyes! Agreed on that. You can never do enough or be good enough in Paul Washer's eyes. Thankfully he isn't the judge. Dr. Andy Woods is currently teaching on the Book of James! It’s good! I have always been taught James in the context of if you aren't doing this this and that, you probably aren't saved. James was also Jesus’s brother and kinda totally sold out to everything! Paul on the other hand is the Apostle of Grace to me and the Rapture and freedom from the Law! Many believe he wrote the Book of Hebrews and Hebrews explains beautifully how we are free from the Law! James talks about the laying hands on the sick and reminds us of Isaiah 58 which talks about taking care of the poor as well! It’s all about things we should do, but not get us into Heaven! At some point we have to please God, and the Book of James shows how to do it! Also, we are all grafted into the roots of Israel, and therefore, that’s how I see it, belong to the tribes of Israel. Israel is our home in the future and the Jews are our brethren! Just my thoughts though!
