The official union of the U.S. Border Patrol accused Vice President Kamala Harris of using her first border visit in over three years as a “photo op,” claiming that she just repeated the things that agents had already been saying. “Vice president Harris has ignored the border problem she created for over three years. She goes down there for 20 minutes for a photo op and decides to repeat some of the things the NPBC has said before. But again, where has she been the last 3 1/2 years?” the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) wrote in an X post. NBPC vice president Art Del Cueto made similar claims on an appearance on Fox News, saying that Harris did not even speak to any agents when she visited the U.S.-Mexico border in Douglas, Arizona, on Friday. “President Trump actually cares and he’s actually gone down there and met with boots on the ground,” Del Cueto said. During her short appearance in Douglas, Harris slammed former President Donald Trump for not “fixing” the problem. The Biden administration’s “climate envoy” John Kerry took heat recently for his comments about the First Amendment at the World Economic Forum on Wednesday. During a panel on Green Energy, an audience member asked the former secretary of state what can be done to combat so-called “disinformation” on the internet regarding “climate change,” Fox News reported on Sunday. “You know there’s a lot of discussion now about how you curb those entities in order to guarantee that you’re going to have some accountability on facts, etc.,” he said. “But look, if people go to only one source, and the source they go to is sick, and, you know, has an agenda, and they’re putting out disinformation, our First Amendment stands as a major block to the ability to be able to just, you know, hammer it out of existence,” Kerry added. Social media users were quick to offer comments on what Kerry said, one person writing, “Lurch doesn’t seem happy that his gatekeepers are no longer the only source of information these days.” “The first amendment is on the ballot folks,” another user said in reference to the upcoming presidential election between Vice President Kamala Harris (D) and former President Donald Trump (R). “What a Piece of garbage! This is exactly why we have the 1st Amendment!” someone else commented. The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States reads, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” [Emphasis added.] Dirty Democratic tricks are forcing his campaign to downsize events, former President Donald Trump claimed Monday. Trump’s allegations come in the aftermath of last week’s allegations from Republican Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri that the Secret Service’s lack of cooperation with the Trump campaign was limiting what Trump could do in the battleground state of Wisconsin. “The Democrats are interfering with my Campaign by not giving us the proper number of people within Secret Service that are necessary for Security,” Trump posted Monday on Truth Social. We had one of the biggest crowds I’ve ever seen on Saturday, in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, where a terrible migrant crime was recently committed, and we ended up having to use a 750 seat theater, having to send away more than 50,000 people,” Trump posted Monday on Truth Social. “They were unable to give us Secret Service protection commensurate with the crowd, because they had to protect the President of Iran, who is doing everything possible to kill me, at the United Nations event. We complained ‘like hell,’ but there was nothing we could do,” he added, referring to the active threats against his life. “I only hope all of those people that were turned away will blame the Creeps from the Harris-Biden Administration, namely, the Opposing Party, that did this to them. IT WAS A DISGRACE!” Trump wrote in a follow-up post. Former President Jimmy Carter turns 100 years old on Tuesday, October 1, making him the first U.S. president to reach the century mark. The Hill noted: When James Earl Carter Jr. was born in 1924 in the small farming town of Plains, Ga., the U.S. still had 48 states. Wheaties cereal was just making its debut on grocery store shelves, President Calvin Coolidge was in office and Babe Ruth slugged his way to becoming the MLB’s American League batting champion. The naval engineer-turned-peanut farmer won election to the Georgia state Senate in 1962, before triumphing in the Peach State’s gubernatorial race in 1971. Carter won his Democratic presidential bid against incumbent President Gerald Ford in 1976 and entered the White House. Carter lost to Ronald Reagan in 1980 and is widely regarded as a failed president, due to economic stagnation and chaos in foreign policy, including the Iran hostage crisis that haunted his last year in office. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his work on the Camp David Accords of 1978, which brought peace between Israel and Egypt. He is also regarded as a disruptive former president, infamously bungling an effort to isolate North Korea during the Clinton administration, and leading efforts to demonize Israel by calling it an “apartheid” state. Carter’s wife, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, died less than a year ago at the age of 96. Several Senate Democrats are joining Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris in her call to end the filibuster in order to pass legislation that would federalize abortion and wipe out pro-life state laws. Nuking the filibuster would drop the 60 required votes to pass legislation in the U.S. Senate to just 51 votes, a move some Democrats told the Hill may be “worth the risk” should they maintain control of the Senate and gain control of the House and presidency in 2025. While some Senate Democrats are wary of what Republicans could achieve without the filibuster if they were to eventually gain back control, they said lowering the threshold would enable the codification of “abortion rights” and “other key legislative priorities,” the report published on Sunday states. “There’s real risk anytime there’s debate about rules and procedures in the Senate. It becomes very bitter,” Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT) told the outlet. “So yes, there is risk.” “The other problem is there’s risk in having a Senate that’s more dedicated to rules and procedures than it is to getting things done,” Welch continued. “It’s very dangerous for the Senate as an institution to simply not address extraordinarily important issues like reproductive freedom, like voting rights.” “I think we should eliminate the filibuster for Roe,” Harris said. “To actually put back in law the protections for reproductive freedom and for the ability of every person and every woman to make decisions about their own body and not have their government tell them what to do.” Her call to end the filibuster is the furthest she has gone in her pledge to federalize abortion if she is elected in November. Harris has repeatedly said she would sign legislation to restore Roe v. Wade, which the Supreme Court overturned in 2022, and has made killing unborn babies in abortions central to her campaign. She has repeatedly refused to cite abortion restrictions she would support and falsely claimed that abortions do not happen later in pregnancy. Harris has previously called to end the filibuster but for a different reason. During her 2020 presidential campaign, she said she would back ending the filibuster to pass the radical Green New Deal, which is essentially a far-left socialist wishlist. National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Chairman Steve Daines (R-MT) warned in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News in July that the Democrats have “radical” power-grabbing plans for the United States, which include ending the filibuster if they hold the majority in the upper chamber of Congress. Daines specifically warned that ending the filibuster would allow Democrats to ram through their radical agenda, including packing the U.S. Supreme Court to 13 justices instead of nine, making Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico states to add four Democrat U.S. senators to the Senate, and conducting a federal takeover of election operations everywhere in the country. “The consequences of losing right now are profound because, if we don’t take back the majority and the Democrats are in charge, they will blow up the filibuster,” Daines told Breitbart News D.C. Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle. Daines continued: .... This bill would remove any voter ID laws that states have passed. It would be all mail-in ballots. They would have cutoffs on Tuesday night on election night at maybe 8:00 p.m. and have a long tail of maybe two weeks to get all the ballots in. You can see, we lose complete control of elections, and the left does irreparable harm to this country with a power grab that would make it very difficult to ever get a center-right government elected in Washington again. “…[W]hich means it’s a simple 50-vote-plus-one threshold to put these radical changes into our laws, including — imagine the Second Amendment and the gun-grabbing legislation they would pass with just 51 votes,” Daines said. Gov. Tim Walz (D), Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate, once bragged about mass immigration overwhelming a small town in southern Minnesota — calling the situation an example of “beautiful diversity.” In late 2019, Breitbart News reported extensively on Worthington, Minnesota. With fewer than 14,000 residents, the town’s taxpayers were forced to hike taxes to the sum of tens of millions to expand the school district because of a rapid increase in migrant children enrolling. Minnesota is one of several states spending billions to teach American English to newly arrived migrant children enrolled in its school districts. With more than 75,000 English learners, Minnesota taxpayers paid nearly $1.2 billion to fund its English as a Second Language (ESL) program in 2020. In June, a statewide look at Minnesota’s public schools revealed alarming trends. From 2019 to 2022, the percentage of fourth graders in the state who are not proficient in reading has increased from 62 percent to almost 70 percent. Likewise, eighth graders not proficient in math increased from 56 percent in 2019 to nearly 70 percent in 2022. Perhaps most alarming, almost a third of all students in the state were deemed “chronically absent” in the 2021-2022 school year, meaning they missed 10 percent or more school days. Former President Donald Trump on Monday ripped Vice President Kamala Harris’s “FAKE and STAGED” photo, featuring her supposedly speaking to FEMA on the ongoing Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. “Another FAKE and STAGED photo from someone who has no clue what she is doing,” Trump said of the now viral photo, which supposedly shows Harris speaking to FEMA. One of the main issues — that countless social media users have pointed out — is that Harris’s earbuds are not even connected to her phone, as the wire seemingly drops to her lap. It is not connected to her phone, which is sitting on the table in front of her. “You have to plug the cord into the phone for it to work!” Trump pointed out, pointing to a litany of failures by the Biden-Harris administration. Meanwhile, Trump is headed to Valdosta, Georgia, on Monday, set to deliver relief items to victims of the storm. Trump also said that he has supplies for residents of North Carolina as well, and while he planned to visit the area too, he logistically cannot interrupt local responders, taking attention away from those in need. https://www.breitbart.com/weather/2024/09/30/donald-trump-rips-kamala-harriss-fake-and-staged-photo/ Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) faced off against Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) Tuesday night for the vice presidential debate in New York City. In an uncustomarily civil engagement by recent standards, the two men advanced disparate visions for America, traded barbs, and demonstrated — or tried to demonstrate — their value to their respective running mates. Despite efforts by the CBS News moderators to help Walz and hinder Vance, it quickly became clear — even to liberal talking heads — that the Democratic governor was grossly outmatched. In response to Van Jones calling Vance "slick, slick, slick" after the debate, fellow CNN panelist David Urban said, "Ten out of ten for JD Vance. Ten strike. ... He landed a lot of good punches, but he did so with an iron fist in a velvet glove. He was very smooth. He was likeable. He looked presidential." Fox News' Kayleigh McEnany wrote, "JD Vance was very clearly a masterful pick for Vice President. His heartfelt response to questions and kind demeanor was very powerful. Really excellent judgment by @DonaldJTrumpJr and all those instrumental to the pick." New York Times columnist Ross Douthat noted that the debate revealed why Vance was a great choice of running mate for Trump, stressing that the Ohio senator delivered "one of the best debating performances by a Republican nominee for president or vice president in recent memory and making a case for Trump's record ... Walz often proved incapable of hiding his panic, such as when Vance raised the matter of censorship and extracted an admission from the governor that a Harris-Walz administration would criminalize speech deemed hateful. On another occasion when Walz again looked utterly beaten, Vance said, "You blame Donald Trump. Who has been the vice president for the last three and a half years? And the answer is your running mate, not mine." National Review editor Rich Lowry later noted, "I've never seen a national candidate look as nervous as Tim Walz when he's not speaking." "Walz looks rusty and nervous," wrote Josh Rogin of the Washington Post. "Maybe he should have done some press interviews to better prepare." In an apparent attempt to expedite several of the beatings, Walz simply nodded in agreement and in one case rushed to surrender. When it came to addressing his lie about being in Hong Kong during the pro-democracy protests at Tiananmen Square in 1989, he admitted he was a "knucklehead" prone to getting "caught up in the rhetoric." According to CBS News' own polling data, Vance not only won the debate but saw his favorability rating jump afterward. Lawmakers also recognized Vance's clear victory. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) wrote, "Most lopsided vice presidential debate ever. JD Vance was on his game. Tim Walz was nervous, uninformed, and didn't explain why he lies all the time." "JD Vance won big and demonstrated why he was a fantastic pick by President Trump," wrote Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.). "He skillfully contrasted Trump's record of peace and prosperity with Kamala's record of disaster." Over 200 retired U.S. military generals and admirals signed a letter on Monday endorsing former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. In a letter released on Monday by Flag Officers 4 America, more than 200 retired military leaders announced they were endorsing Trump for president, claiming he is “a proven leader who will secure our border, repulse our adversaries, revitalize our economy, and keep America safe and strong.” The retired military leaders described the upcoming November election as the “most important election” since the founding of America. The retired generals and admirals warned, “We are at a historic crossroad where we must either choose to stand for our Constitution and its underlying traditional values which have made America great, or we continue down the path the current administration’s top leadership is taking into the deadly abyss of socialism and authoritarian cultural Marxism.” The endorsement letter added, “As the Administration imposes divisive social engineering programs embodied in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the expense of warfighting readiness, China, Iran, Russia, North Korea, and global terrorists are rapidly expanding their capabilities and aggressiveness. This did not happen during Donald Trump’s presidency.” In Monday’s letter, the retired military leaders listed multiple political policies and actions that they claimed have left the United States in a “perilous situation,” including the southern border crisis caused by open border policies, the poor condition of the economy caused by inflation and other policies, and the physical and mental condition of the commander-in-chief, which they claim Harris “deliberately concealed” from the American people. The retired military leaders suggested that the current national security threats facing the United States can be reversed by new policies. As a result, the retired generals and admirals wrote, “We endorse Donald J. Trump for president based on his proven national security track record. His policies, coupled with his ability to implement them in the face of opposition, worked before and will work again.” The retired generals and admirals concluded by asking Americans to consider whether America’s national security is weaker or stronger than it was four years ago. “The answer is clear,” they wrote. “We urge our fellow Americans to join us in supporting the election of Donald J. Trump for president. Our future is at stake.” https://americanmilitarynews.com/2024/10/200-fmr-generals-admirals-endorse-trump/ Border Patrol Union Calls Kamala Harris’s Arizona Visit a ‘Photo Op’:
