About 700 US Marines have been mobilized in response to the violent Los Angeles riots, according to CNN. CNN reported: Roughly 500 Marines based out of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in California have been mobilized to respond to the protests in Los Angeles, according to three people familiar with the matter, and will join the National Guard troops that were activated by President Donald Trump over the weekend without the consent of California’s governor or the city’s mayor. The deployment of the full Marine battalion marks a significant escalation in Trump’s use of the military as a show of force against protesters, but it is still unclear what their task will be once in LA, the sources said. Like the National Guard troops, they are prohibited from conducting law enforcement activity like making arrests unless Trump invokes the Insurrection Act. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/06/breaking-500-us-marines-mobilized-response-violent-los/ It’s the new “fiery but mostly peaceful protests.” A local ABC 7 anchor reporting on the rebellion in Los Angeles, where radical anti-ICE insurrectionists are burning down the city and attacking officers in defense of criminal illegal aliens, described the scene on Sunday night as “just a bunch of people having fun, watching cars burn.” Now, Brown is describing the arson and violence as "fun." This takes the Fake News Award. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/06/watch-just-bunch-people-having-fun-watching-cars/ Like deja vu, the mainstream media is orchestrating a Summer of Rage 2.0 cover-up campaign, claiming the protests are “mostly peaceful,” even as cars are set ablaze and concrete slabs are hurled at police officers and federal agents. He [Glenn Beck] compares the media’s “mostly peaceful” narrative to saying, “The Titanic mostly floated except for that little part at the end when it didn't.” The media is also claiming that the protests are “spontaneous and grassroots” when protesters’ professionally printed signs that read “printed” and “paid for by” the Party for Socialism and Liberation tell a wildly different story. And even though rioters wave flags from all the “dirt bag communist countries that are failing and the terrorist states,” news anchors continue to portray them as “terrified everyday Americans.” “This all started apparently because we were going after these poor illegals that are here just because they're poor and they're just looking for a better life,” says Glenn sarcastically. Except ICE’s list of arrests paints a different picture. Of the 100+ people arrested during the immigration raids in Los Angeles over the weekend, the majority had criminal records. Trump said that one leader of a “forest nation” once told him that their trees were “much more flammable than” those in California, but they do not have wildfire problems because they maintain the ground. “For years, I’ve been meeting with heads of other countries, and they are forest countries… Austria and others, and they say, ‘We’re a forest nation. We live in a forest,’ and they don’t have forest fires,” Trump said... Trump, flanked by Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, said his administration is going to start cleaning the forests. “And we spend billions and billions of dollars a year because people don’t clean the forests, and we’re going to clean the forests, we’re going to start cleaning them. We’re going to get rid of dead wood,” he said. “The environmentalists say, ‘Oh no, let it regenerate.’ It doesn’t regenerate. It just sits there, and it usually catches fire, and we’re going to have a whole new system, and it’s called forest management,” the president added. Burgum also spoke to forest management, particularly about ramping up the domestic lumber industry, which would help maintain forests and boost the local economies by reshoring timber jobs. Trump added that if he had not taken actions over the recent days, “There wouldn’t be a Los Angeles; it would be burning today just like the houses were burning a number of months ago.” Trump declared that America’s Army heroes did not fight for the nation throughout its history so that radicals today can riot around a city like Los Angeles in opposition to the federal government’s deportation operation. “Generations of army heroes did not shed their blood on distant shores only to watch our country be destroyed by invasion and third world lawlessness here at home, like is happening in California,” he said. “As Commander in Chief, I will not let that happen. It’s never going to happen.” He further categorized the riots in Los Angeles as “a full-blown assault on peace, on public order, and our national sovereignty.” While speaking to reporters hours earlier in the Oval Office before departing for Fort Bragg, Trump said that he acted quickly to deploy the National Guard because of the poor response of Democrat governors to the George Floyd riots in 2020.BREAKING UPDATE: 700 US Marines to be Deployed to Downtown Los Angeles in Response to Violent Anti-ICE Riots:
