Newsom claimed that the president neglected to call him at all during the Los Angeles rioting. The governor responded to a video on social media in which Trump was asked by a reporter when he had last spoken with Newsom. "A day ago. Called him up to tell him, 'Got to do a better job.' He's doing a bad job. Causing a lot of death and a lot of potential death," Trump replied to the reporter. "If we didn't send out the National Guard, and last night we gave him a little additional help, you would have — Los Angeles would be burning right now." Newsom claimed that the president had not called at all. "There was no call. Not even a voicemail. Americans should be alarmed that a President deploying Marines onto our streets doesn’t even know who he’s talking to," he posted. The president apparently took umbrage at the accusation and sent evidence to John Roberts of Fox News that he had indeed spoken with Newsom. "First call was not picked up. Second call, Gavin picked up, we spoke for 16 minutes. I told him to, essentially, 'get his a** in gear,' and stop the Riots, which were out of control," Trump said, according to a social media post from Roberts. The first part of the agreement is that the U.S. will receive magnets and “any necessary” rare earth metals from China. If China decided to cut off America from these materials, this could qualify as a nuclear option on their part. However, China is getting a significant win in the accord as well. Padilla was thrown to the ground FBI agents, handcuffed and detained. Update: Padilla’s office said the Senator is no longer detained. The House of Representatives passed the $9.4 billion rescissions package on Thursday to cut wasteful discretionary spending on NPR, PBS, and USAID. The House advanced the legislation to a final floor vote on Wednesday, The Gateway Pundit reported. This includes cuts to National Public Radio (NPR), Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). $8.3 billion is set to be cut from the USAID, the far left agency that the Trump Administration has accused of funding foreign programs that do little to advance American interests. As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump signed the “Ending Taxpayer Subsidization of Biased Media” executive order, which directs the CPB Board of Directors to “cease Federal funding for NPR and PBS.” The House voted 214-212 to pass the spending cuts.
