Newsom claimed that the president neglected to call him at all during the Los Angeles rioting. The governor responded to a video on social media in which Trump was asked by a reporter when he had last spoken with Newsom. "A day ago. Called him up to tell him, 'Got to do a better job.' He's doing a bad job. Causing a lot of death and a lot of potential death," Trump replied to the reporter. "If we didn't send out the National Guard, and last night we gave him a little additional help, you would have — Los Angeles would be burning right now." Newsom claimed that the president had not called at all. "There was no call. Not even a voicemail. Americans should be alarmed that a President deploying Marines onto our streets doesn’t even know who he’s talking to," he posted. The president apparently took umbrage at the accusation and sent evidence to John Roberts of Fox News that he had indeed spoken with Newsom. "First call was not picked up. Second call, Gavin picked up, we spoke for 16 minutes. I told him to, essentially, 'get his a** in gear,' and stop the Riots, which were out of control," Trump said, according to a social media post from Roberts. "More than anything else, this shows what a liar he is — Said I never called. Here is the evidence." Roberts posted a screenshot of the phone logs that showed one outgoing call for 2 seconds at 1:22 a.m. on Saturday morning and a second call for 16 minutes a minute later, at 1:23 a.m. The contact person listed at the top read, "Gavin Newsom." https://www.theblaze.com/news/newsom-trump-phone-log-accuse Trump wrote on Truth Social that he had completed a new agreement with Chinese dictator Xi Jinping. The first part of the agreement is that the U.S. will receive magnets and “any necessary” rare earth metals from China. This is critical because China produces roughly 60% of all the world’s rare earth metals and processes nearly 90% of them. If China decided to cut off America from these materials, this could qualify as a nuclear option on their part. However, China is getting a significant win in the accord as well. Trump revealed that Chinese students will continue to study at American universities even though some have been caught spying on America and smuggling in pathogens. Trump closed by saying there would be a 55% rate on their goods while American products in China would face a 10% rate. Trump also announced that he and Xi would work to open up China to American trade, saying it would be “a great win for both countries.” https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/06/new-president-trump-announces-new-deal-china-one/ WASHINGTON, DC –President Donald Trump has signed legislation to reverse a radical California policy that would phase out the sale of new gas-powered cars by 2035. ...We officially rescue the U.S. auto industry from destruction by terminating the California electric vehicle mandate once and for all,” Trump said to applause before signing the legislation. “They’d pass these crazy rules in California, and…17 states would go by ’em, and the automakers didn’t know what to do, because they’re really building cars for two countries,” Trump added. “Today, common sense prevailed. We thank President Trump, EPA Administrator Zeldin, and congressional leadership for taking decisive action to end crippling, detached-from-reality rulemakings that would have imposed devastating economic consequences on American businesses and families,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. "This is not the United States of California. With the stroke of his pen, President Trump is restoring the certainty that the trucking industry needs to deliver for our nation as we continue to reduce our environmental impact,” he added. API President and CEO Mike Sommers hailed the signing as “a major victory for American consumers, manufacturers and U.S. energy security,” Fox News reported. “We thank President Trump and Congress for delivering on their promise to put an end to these extreme mandates and ensure every American can choose the vehicle that’s best for them,” he said. Democrat Senator Alex Padilla was physically restrained and removed for heckling DHS Secretary Kristi Noem while she was giving a briefing on the Los Angeles riots. Padilla approached the podium in an aggressive manner so he was quickly restrained. “I have questions for the Secretary because the fact of the matter is half a dozen violent criminals that you’re rotating on your — hands off!” Padilla shouted as he was removed from the room. Padilla was thrown to the ground FBI agents, handcuffed and detained. Update: Padilla’s office said the Senator is no longer detained. The House of Representatives passed the $9.4 billion rescissions package on Thursday to cut wasteful discretionary spending on NPR, PBS, and USAID. The House advanced the legislation to a final floor vote on Wednesday, The Gateway Pundit reported. This includes cuts to National Public Radio (NPR), Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). $8.3 billion is set to be cut from the USAID, the far left agency that the Trump Administration has accused of funding foreign programs that do little to advance American interests. As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump signed the “Ending Taxpayer Subsidization of Biased Media” executive order, which directs the CPB Board of Directors to “cease Federal funding for NPR and PBS.” The House voted 214-212 to pass the spending cuts. The bill will now head to the Senate. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/06/breaking-house-passes-doge-cuts-npr-pbs-usaid/
