A shooting was reported at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood megachurch in Houston on Sunday. The female shooter wore a trench coat as she walked into the church with a rifle and claimed she had a bomb before she began shooting. “We know God’s in control,” Joel Osteen said on Sunday. She obviously isn't "living her best life now". Back in 2014, the state of California banned thin, disposable plastic shopping bags. They only allowed thicker, reusable plastic bags. The problem, it turns out, was a section of the law that allowed grocery stores and large retailers to provide thicker, heavier-weight plastic bags to customers for the price of a dime. The problem, people still threw away the thicker bags. Now the weight of plastic bags being thrown away has increased by 30 percent. As a result, the state now wants to ban all plastic bags completely. They did away with plastic shopping bags in my state about 2 years ago. They only supply flimsy brown paper bags (10 cents each) or reusable store brand combo cloth/thicker plastic type bags ($1.00 or more depending on the size). Yet they still have the super thin plastic bags located in the fruit/veggie dept. And there is still the Hefty plastic garbage / leaf bags and plastic sandwich/freezer bags sold. There is no rhyme or reason with their logic with banning certain plastic bags and not everything in their quest to worship “Mother Earth”. It was interesting to see the police walk around them without much concern. What was that about? Terms such as “massacre”, “slaughter’ and “genocide” are not nearly strong enough to describe what is taking place on a daily basis, and the vast majority of us seem to think that there will never be any serious consequences for what we are doing. But the truth is that we shall surely reap what we have sown. In all of human history, we have never seen carnage of this magnitude. If you believe that we can just keep doing this indefinitely without suffering any consequences, you are dead wrong. . . . . the number of abortions performed in the United States actually went up during the 12 months immediately following the overturning of Roe v. Wade… Unfortunately, survey after survey has shown that most Americans want abortion to be legal. For example, a survey that was conducted late last year found that a record high percentage of Americans believe that “women should be allowed to obtain a legal abortion if they want one for any reason”… So the killing will continue, and that should break all of our hearts.
