Good point. Yeah .. perhaps that tree died during the flood waters? We aren't informed as to what happened to the Garden of Eden as a whole. Maybe God transplanted it into heaven. https://knowingscripture.com/articles/what-was-the-tree-of-the-knowledge-of-good-and-evil-for https://www.biblicaltraining.org/blog/curious-christian/4-3-2012/what-tree-knowledge-good-and-evil I don't fully agree with these articles, though there is much in them that's thought provoking. Gen 3:22 Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil.” God does acknowledge there has been a substantial transformation in the nature of mankind, from innocence to a warped knowledge of the difference between good and evil. The sin was in wanting this knowledge independently of God. Therefore, I do think there were properties in the fruit besides some extra Vitamin C, for example. The same goes for the Tree of Life. Well said David. Indeed this was a knowledge that far outweighed our capacities. But I believe that the knowledge wasn't the issue. The fact that Eve's heart was set on being like God, or being able to be compared to God! This it seems to me was the issue. Man has been trying ever since to compete with God! TR Indeed, it wasn't that Eve wanted to know something; it was that she believed God was being unfair to her in withholding the ability to decide for herself what was right or wrong. It is sometimes caricatured as being about eating a fruit, yet the underlying motive was the same as Satan's when he rebelled: I will be like the Most High. Not to put you on the spot but I was wondering if in your studies you happened to find out the timeframe when the fall occurred from the last day of Creation. Some think it happened right away and others think it took months or a few years. Just thought if you have any view on the timeframe.
