As all of you are undoubtedly aware, one of the major areas impacted by the Corona virus' disproportionate hoax response is collegiate and professional sports.  Last night, just out of curiosity, I checked a couple of sports cable channels just to see what they are filling the time with.  I expected to see some classic playoff or championship game from 2007 or something like that.  Instead, when I clicked on ESPN2, I found a broadcast (not sure if live or recorded) of what I would call professional bean bag tossers.  Grown men, strategically figuring out where they would toss their bean bags, with other grown men providing serious analytical commentary.

I literally burst out laughing out loud,  I thought it was some kind of parody at first but after watching for a few minutes, I could tell these guys were serious.  (After googling it, apparently there is a professional cornholing league, the ACL--American Cornhole League, and all these years I thought it was your anterior cruciate ligament--silly me).

I suppose, when you get down to the basics of what any sporting event really is, you could argue for absurdity.  Players using sticks to hit a little white ball into a small hole in the ground hundreds of feet away.  Throwing an inflated round leather ball through a suspended metal circle.  You get my drift.  At some level, it's all absurd, and much of it is idolatrous, which is why the Lord had me personally to yield up my BC dreams of becoming a sportscaster.  It was WAY too elevated in my life and needed to be consumed on the altar of His fire upon my life.

No condemnation upon those for whom sports is/was still a big part of your life.  I still think it is a great arena to learn many of life's most valuable lessons.  I also still enjoy watching the drama and competition of a hotly contested game between skilled athletes.  But cornholing...?  Let's just say I found the few minutes I watched less than riveting, once I recognized they were actually serious.

I wonder if Bill Gates or George Soros invested in the American Cornhole League, or if it is just one of the unintended beneficiaries of the Corona Virus plannedemic?

Give me a major break!  Talk about superficiality!

They can share their sports bragging rights and accomplishments with one another in Hell, to help pass the time.

Lol.  They need to fill their programming schedule, somehow.

It does highlight how ridiculous it really is,  though,  yeah.
