THE FLAKES OF FAITH Two ships that sailed the horizon together, Have now in deep-sea parted, While one prepares to go down under, The other heads off on a new course charted. The flakes of Faith have snowed once more, The nerves are cold and bare, The heart still shivers from the last hand played, And the only game left is solitaire. While the humble are willing to be reborn, The arrogant scoff at death, Unwilling to listen to The Gospel News, They are proud and defiant to their final breath. Life isn’t fair, it takes a toll, Nothing ever comes for free, Except the Gift provided in Love, On that Hill at Calvary. But the wound inflicted cuts so deep, It is difficult to accept the choice, Of a lifetime friend who pays no heed, To the beckoning call of God’s small, still Voice! When the flurries end and The Son arises, The Reward will be worth the wait, To sacrifice the temporal for The Blessed Hope, Will merit grand admission at Heaven’s Gate. There will be no more tears shed in vain, No more sadness or remorse, The past will be forgotten along with the lost, Because the flakes of Faith stayed the course! Amen, Hallelujah!!!! Humbly Beautiful rendering of the hope that lies within. TR PS: I'm a flake with faith. Just saying. TR The thread title is making me crave Kelloggs Frosted Corn Flakes! :mdrmdr: We are all (snow) flakes. No two of us are alike.
