THE FLAKES OF FAITH

Two ships that sailed the horizon together,

Have now in deep-sea parted,

While one prepares to go down under,

The other heads off on a new course charted.

The flakes of Faith have snowed once more,

The nerves are cold and bare,

The heart still shivers from the last hand played,

And the only game left is solitaire.

While the humble are willing to be reborn,

The arrogant scoff at death,

Unwilling to listen to The Gospel News,

They are proud and defiant to their final breath.

Life isn’t fair, it takes a toll,

Nothing ever comes for free,

Except the Gift provided in Love,

On that Hill at Calvary.

But the wound inflicted cuts so deep,

It is difficult to accept the choice,

Of a lifetime friend who pays no heed,

To the beckoning call of God’s small, still Voice!

When the flurries end and The Son arises,

The Reward will be worth the wait,

To sacrifice the temporal for The Blessed Hope,

Will merit grand admission at Heaven’s Gate.

There will be no more tears shed in vain,

No more sadness or remorse,

The past will be forgotten along with the lost,

Because the flakes of Faith stayed the course!

Amen, Hallelujah!!!!

Humbly

We are all (snow) flakes.  No two of us are alike.  Smile

Thanks all!

When I wrote this, my intention was not to be a Cereal offender and try to play Trix on any Fruit Loops out there.  I just wanted the Mini Wheats to be separated from the chaff and to bring good will and Cheerios to those seeking a better Life. The devious Cap'n Crunch my be trying to get us in his the little ship in this life but we have all been invited to board the yacht of the Master Helmsman in the next life.

I wish you all a blessed weekend!

Humbly

ahh . .  ~ ~  the flakes of faith

and  jewels in His crown,

in Him, He never forsakes  ~

the world may rejoice,

~ ~even feel mortified

how Jesus came to save

~   ahh, but us flakes,  we rejoice

over God's Son so glorified

because of the Cross and Jesus crucified

The Son and our God IS now Majestically Risen,

~ ~   . .  oh His Love is great ~

because of the way He has given   ~ ~

~ ~ ~~  the veil torn,

He keeps us through any storm

calling us to His open arms

Jesus invites us saying:     "come

~~ stay close, and receive My embrace"   ~,

Love your heart Sis, and your passionate expressions!  We don't have much to offer Him, but a passionate heart, like yours!  TR
