This will not be the most spiritual post I have ever authored, but I found myself thinking this morning about some of the practical ramifications that the rapture will have when it happens, along with my attempt at a little humor along the way.

Disclaimer: please don't misinterpret this post as making light of the sobriety and horror of what awaits those left behind to enter into Daniel's 70th week. I would not wish it on my worst enemy.  And I do not think it funny in the slightest, as evidenced by the literally hundreds of hours I have spent out on a street corner in my community over the past 5 years trying to warn people with my rapture sign.

That said, here is my list:

1) A really expensive water bill for someone who gets raptured while taking a shower and either lives alone or in a house with all believers.  (Will really drive up next year's adjustment calculation for the monthly equal-pay program.)

2) The obvious one that most people think about, which is car and airplane crashes due to drivers/pilots no longer being there.  (No insurance payouts, as this will indisputably and justifiably be able to be classified as an act of God.)

3) Abandoned cars that are left parked at work or any other place away from the home of the driver, including abandoned cars in the repair shop that no one ever shows up to claim.  (Probably be able to pick up a used car pretty cheap.   )

4) Water damage in a home where a sink is running, the drain is intentionally plugged, and there is no overflow port.  (Not exactly what the Psalmist was alluding to when he spoke of our cup running over.)

5) Houses left unlocked and wide open because people were either just leaving or for whatever reason had their home unlocked at that moment of the twinkling of an eye.  (Will add a profound new twist to that old saying, the lights are on, but nobody's home.)

6) The ongoing monthly auto-deduction of various bills until there is no money left in the account.  (On a personal note, if we are called up at Pentecost, it won't take long for my account to be empty.)

7) All the uncanceled no-shows for appointments of all kinds like doctors, dentists, vision care, hair cuts, etc.  (Wonder if they will try to charge us a no-show fee?)

8) All of the unfiled IRS Tax Returns (I already filed my 2019 return and paid what I owed, but I really won't miss not having to file for 2020...just sayin'.)

9) Unpaid bills in general.  (Would hate to be working as a commissioned collections agent with a long list of raptured customers.)

What else can you think of...?

Indeed imposing ramifications that will be needed to deal with!  Every lynchpin of daily life will be forever altered.  For after the Rapture there will indeed be no going back to normal.

I think the loss of loved ones will truly usher in a "twilight zone" atmosphere!  Especially when experienced on a first hand basis.  Undeniable and irrefutable altering of reality!

If not by God's grace, we all would experience unprecedented devastation!  An immediate shift of life's priorities will ensue.  That said, looking at the lighter side of calamity is a luxury we can indulge in!  TR

Great list :good: !

Let’s see you can also include ... electrical and gas fires with appliances and stove left on.

Those living in condo/townhouses - monthly dues will no longer get collected

Paying quarterly city water bills or property taxes - no longer be collected

Personally I’m staying on high alert in the next 2 weeks ...   7 days from today is Ascension day and then its Pentecost.

Bibi is going to give a speech today about forming a government and will talk about “peace, safety and prosperity of Israel” “to strengthen national security” and “strive for peace

After nearly 18 months of political deadlock, swearing-in ceremony to be held Thursday following vote in Knesset; Likud, Blue and White release coalition policy principles

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially announced Wednesday that he had succeeded in forming a new government, bringing to an end nearly 18 months of political gridlock.

Netanyahu made the announcement in formal letters to Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz in his capacity as the temporary Knesset speaker and to President Reuven Rivlin.

“I managed to form a government,” he wrote, asking Gantz to convene the Knesset to hold a vote of confidence.  The new government, which, according to the coalition agreement, will see Gantz replace Netanyahu as prime minister after 18 months, is scheduled to be sworn in Thursday evening after lawmakers vote to approve it during a Knesset plenum session that will begin at 6 p.m.

The Knesset will also vote on a new speaker, slated to be Likud MK Yariv Levin.  The swearing-in of the new government will conclude the longest political logjam in Israel’s history, in which Netanyahu’s Likud party and Blue and White went head-to-head in an unprecedented three consecutive elections.

Gantz campaigned on replacing Netanyahu due to the premier’s indictment on graft charges but dropped his opposition to sitting in a government with him after the latest elections again ended with no clear winner, citing the coronavirus pandemic and a desire to avoid a fourth round of voting.

The move led to the breakup of the Blue and White alliance, with Gantz being elected as Knesset speaker with the backing of Netanyahu’s right-wing religious bloc as they negotiated the terms of the new government.

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, Likud and Blue and White on Wednesday evening released the policy principles of the new government, as instructed by the High Court of Justice.

The document said the government will initially form an emergency cabinet to deal with the coronavirus pandemic and formulate a plan to extract Israel from the accompanying economic crisis, while rolling out a “socioeconomic safety net” and special programs for citizens who are struggling financially.

Additionally, out of the belief that the Jewish people has the inviolable right to a sovereign state in the Land of Israel, the national and historic homeland of the Jewish people, the government will also address all issues relating to the peace, security and prosperity of Israel,” the statement said.

To do this, the government will push to “strengthen national security” and “strive for peace,” ensure equal opportunity for all Israelis, boost the economy, work “to bridge between all parts of the nation,” preserve Israel’s Jewish and democratic character, and encourage immigration of Jews to the country, among other policy stances.

Furthermore, the government will promote “conduct, dialogue and action in a statesmanlike, law-abiding, respectful and unifying manner” among all Israelis, the document said.

The principles did not specifically mention the annexation of parts of the West Bank, a step that under the coalition deal between Likud and Blue and White can be set in motion as early as July.

While this is happening ... we have this brewing ... the ring of fire of MEGA earthquakes worldwide are expected soon so while they are saying “peace and security sudden destruction comes” ... could the opening of the graves for the dead in Christ church saints trigger the ring of fire and set off the MEGA earthquakes?

Here is an article posted 3 days ago by Savedat33 about the ring of fire ...  She said  “I believe, beyond a shadow of a doubt, we are seeing Matthew 24:7, Luke 21:11, Mark 13:8 being fulfilled as the Lord said”

.........

Within the past several days, large earthquakes have been striking all along the outer rim of the Pacific Ocean, and many are wondering if all of this activity could potentially be building up to something really big.  Those that follow my work on a regular basis know that I have been deeply concerned about seismic activity on the west coast for a long time, and scientists assure us that it is just a matter of time before “the Big One” hits us.  According to Wikipedia, approximately 81 percent of all large earthquakes take place along the Ring of Fire, and of course the west coast of North America accounts for a large stretch of it.  As you can see from this map, the California and Alaska coastlines have been absolutely peppered by quakes in recent days, but nobody is really talking about these quakes because everyone is so focused on COVID-19 right now.

Yes, this pandemic deserves our attention, but I would submit that all of the unusual shaking that has been happening certainly deserves our attention as well.

You may not have heard about it yet, but a magnitude 4.5 earthquake rocked San Diego on Sunday afternoon…

A 4.5 magnitude earthquake originating in Imperial County rocked San Diegans from East Village to Lakeside on Sunday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 3:07 p.m. in Imperial County about 10.5 miles southeast of Ocotillo Wells, according to the USGS. It had a depth of 10 kilometers or 6.2 miles.

That is a rather large quake for that particular area, and it is just one of hundreds that have been hitting the region.  In fact, CalTech says that there have been 1,227 earthquakes in California and Nevada over the last 7 days.

Meanwhile, the section of the Ring of Fire that runs along the west coast of South America has also been getting hit pretty hard.  A magnitude 5.4 quake struck northern Chile on Sunday, and that really shook a lot of people up.

Subsequently, the portion of the Ring of Fire that runs along the coast of Japan was hit by a magnitude 5.8 earthquake very late on Sunday…

The quake hit near the east coast of Honshu at 23.58 UTC on Sunday. The earthquake was reported to have a depth of 80km. It also hit 129km north east of Saitama and also 26km south east of Hitachi, according to emsc-csem. USGS tweeted: “Prelim M5.8 Earthquake near the east coast of Honshu, Japan May-10 23:58 UTC”

And that unusual event in Japan was very quickly followed by a magnitude 5.6 earthquake in Indonesia.

Of course Indonesia sits right along the Ring of Fire as well.

There has been so much shaking in Indonesia recently, but most Americans never hear about it.  Just a few days ago, Indonesia was hit by a magnitude 6.9 earthquake that was so powerful that it was actually felt in Australia…

A powerful earthquake in Indonesia has been felt in the Northern Territory.

Residents of Darwin reported online they had felt the shake, which registered as a magnitude-6.9 quake late on Wednesday evening.

The tremor hit the Banda Sea, more than 600km north of Darwin, at a depth of 142km.

So as you can see, there have been significant seismic events all over the Ring of Fire within the past several days.

But it isn’t just the Ring of Fire that has been shaking.  Big earthquakes have been popping up in diverse places all over the globe, and the magnitude 5.1 quake that just hit Iran really surprised a lot of people…

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit Iran shortly after midnight on Thursday night with its epicenter 34 miles east of the capital city Tehran. AFP reported that panicked residents rushed into the streets, abandoning buildings in fear they would collapse. Two people were killed and 55 injured in the earthquake. The earthquake was followed by eight more mild aftershocks.

And weird earthquakes have been happening in the U.S. as well.

Anyone that follows my work on a regular basis knows that in addition to the west coast I am always watching the New Madrid seismic zone very carefully.

So when two unusual earthquakes hit southern Tennessee on Sunday morning, it definitely got my attention…

Two earthquakes were reported back to back in southern Tennessee early Sunday morning, officials say.

Both quakes happened about 4.3 miles southeast of Sewanee, which is near the Alabama border and about 52 miles from Chattanooga, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The first, a 3.1 magnitude, hit at 3:33 a.m. and the second, a 2.8 magnitude, hit at 3:34 a.m.

Without a doubt, there is a whole lot of shaking going on right now.

That does not necessarily mean that a major event of some sort is imminent, and we should certainly hope that the next major event can be put off for as long as possible.

But as I keep warning, the crust of our planet is very unstable, and many have been warning that we should expect that instability to only get worse in the days ahead.

Seismologists have warned us over and over that it is just a matter of time before “the Big One” absolutely devastates the west coast.  They have told us that the San Andreas fault appears to be “locked and loaded” and that it could potentially “unzip all at once”.

And if that actually happens, seismologists have warned that the ground level could suddenly decline by up to 3 feet, and that could potentially result in vast portions of southern California suddenly being way below sea level.

In other words, we are talking about the sort of disaster that most people don’t even want to think about.

Of course very few people ever imagined that a coronavirus pandemic would virtually shut down the entire country, and yet here we are.

We live in very strange times, and I have a feeling that they will soon get a whole lot stranger…

Is there a link to your faith-based T-shirt business, Todd?  I have been looking around for some good rapture warning T-shirts.  Of course, we may not have enough time.  Tic toc.

Good one Watchman, my family laughed!
my attempt at a few:

1. The animals at the Zoo - admission is free, at your own risk

2. The hot glue piled on the table, as the glue gun was left on for the current project and just “piled” up...

3. The repo man as he tries to take the car that is locked inside the garage

4. The great molded food stuff left on the counter or growing in the frig.

5. Don’t forget to flush the toilet, as you never know where you might be.

6. Alexia asking, “how can I help you, ...as the Smart TV plays the same thing over and over

7. The home alarm system going off without anyone to turn it off, as looting begins —- no one knows the code!

8. The gas smell that lingers as the car in the garage was left running and the door is still in the down position.

9. The garden shriveled up because of no water or again the hose is left on.

10. The morning. Alarm clock going off continuously or iPhone keeps buzzing of folks trying to get in touch....

let it be so and soon Lord ... :prayer-hands:

What might be the best is if you are talking to a non-believer and then you just disappear!  That would be a powerful witness -- unfortunately, it will be too late for them to leave this earth pleasantly.

Just saying!

The disappearance of so many could be a factor in the implementation of a tracking chip. Authorities might fear that some people might have escaped to the woods or mountains, evading taxes and voting responsibilities...
