Report Reveals How Ruthlessly The Biden Administration Persecuted Christian Education: While Americans were focused on the weaponization of federal law enforcement and the justice system, the Biden administration was also quietly but ruthlessly weaponizing the U.S. Department of Education against Christian institutions as well. Those are the findings of a shocking new report by the pro-family group American Principles Project. The numbers are shocking but hard to deny. According to new data obtained by APP, almost 70 percent of the Biden education bureaucracy’s “enforcement actions” targeted faith-based and career schools. For perspective, those categories represent less than 10 percent of students across the country. Two of the nation’s largest and most important Christian institutions of higher education, Liberty University and Grand Canyon University, both found themselves in the crosshairs. The universities were hit with record-breaking fines totaling more than all other fines combined: Almost $38 million for Grand Canyon and $14 million for Liberty. Both of those institutions, along with many other smaller ones, were targeted by a relatively unknown office within the Department of Education called the “Office of Enforcement.” The three primary tactics for “dismantling its targets” described in the APP report are huge penalties, “scrutinize and fine” investigations, and cutting off federal funds. Grand Canyon University spokesman Bob Romantic expressed hope that change was coming. Officials there “look forward to an administration that, rather than using federal agencies to harass universities to which they are ideologically opposed, will reduce bureaucracy while applying regulations fairly and equitably,” he told The Center Square. The persecution of Christian institutions by the federal government shows the danger of allowing them to become dependent on public money. While Trump and Republican lawmakers may be able to rein in some of the lawlessness over the next few years, Democrats will resume their attacks as soon as they are able. Christians must prepare. The Center Square reported that Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) introduced the companion resolution of the term limit legislation in the House, stating, "Those of us in Congress ought to serve for a reasonable period of time and then return home to live under the laws we enacted." There is overwhelming bipartisan support for term limits. A Pew Research Center survey conducted in July 2023 found that 90% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents and 86% of Democrats and Democratic leaners support limiting the number of terms that members of Congress can serve. The survey also found that 79% of all respondents signaled support for a maximum age limit for elected officials in the nation's capital. Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley (Iowa), the longest-serving senator in the previous Congress and the oldest lawmaker in the Senate chamber who is set to finish his current term at the age of 95, was briefly hospitalized in 2024. Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell (Ky.), another geriatric lawmaker and the longest-serving Senate party leader in American history, has similarly had health issues in recent months and years, freezing up when fielding questions, repeatedly tripping, and receiving treatment for a concussion. The late Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein first took office in a 1992 special election and was re-elected five times. Despite clear signs of mental deterioration — signaling at times she didn't know where she was going or where she had been — her aides and allies kept wheeling her into the Senate and allegedly telling her how to cast votes. A Pentagon-funded study highlighted in 2023 how elderly government officials' mental degradation could pose significant risks to national and global security. The RAND Corporation's National Security Research Division indicated that as a consequence of people living longer and working later in life, "The workforce might experience a higher prevalence of dementia than in past generations." Return managing editor Peter Gietl previously noted in a piece on America's "octogenarian oligarchy" that "our present-day leadership seem to have no interest in enjoying their golden years with their families, spending the hundreds of millions they've accumulated. Power is an elixir that is hard to put down." Cruz's proposed constitutional amendment will require a two-thirds majority vote both in the U.S. House and Senate. Incoming National Security Advisor Mike Waltz told Breitbart News exclusively that every intelligence official from the various departments and agencies across the federal government currently detailed to the National Security Council (NSC) at the White House under outgoing President Joe Biden will be expected to vacate the premises by 12:01 p.m. Eastern on Inauguration Day when President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated again. Waltz, in a phone interview earlier this week, told Breitbart News that he is making sure everyone understands that it’s “crystal clear what the agenda is.” The way the NSC works is the National Security Advisor oversees a team of political appointees from the president who oversee a wide range of what are called “detailees”—people who work at the various agencies and departments across the federal government who are assigned, or detailed, to work at the White House for a period of time on the NSC in a portfolio in which they demonstrate expertise. These career intelligence officials come from places as wide-ranging as the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, the Pentagon, and other law enforcement and intelligence agencies, and report up to the political appointees atop each major portfolio in the NSC. The NSC has various issue-specific portfolios like counterterrorism and cyber policy as well as regional portfolios focused on things like the western hemisphere or the Middle East or Europe or Asia. The detailees then help coordinate back to the various agencies and departments so the whole federal government executes on the decisions that the president makes. One of the major problems Trump faced in his first term came from inside the NSC with some of these detailees, as the person who spearheaded the first impeachment of Trump—Alexander Vindman—was one such person. Waltz told Breitbart News that he is taking very serious steps to ensure that there are no more Vindmans. From this point forward, he said, anyone who gets a detailee position on the NSC will be on board with the president’s agenda. But “a lot of” the NSC action this next few years he said would be undoing the damage of the Biden years.... “It’s also going to be incumbent upon the Cabinet heads to one, I think, cut what is a bloated bureaucracy and then two make sure it’s in line with executing what the president wants to pull together...."
