Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey asked the Justice Department to investigate whether White House staffers exploited Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and issued far-left orders at the end of his presidency without his knowledge. “I am demanding the DOJ investigate whether President Biden’s cognitive decline allowed unelected staff to push through radical policy without his knowing approval,” Bailey wrote. “If in fact Biden’s staffers were exploiting his mental decline, those orders are null and void,” he added. Andrew Bailey cited Joe Biden’s decision to commute the federal death sentences of nearly 40 prisoners on death row. “Staffers and the Vice President cannot constitutionally evade accountability by laundering far-left orders through a man who does not know what he is signing. If in fact this has been occurring, then all those orders are void,” Bailey said. The Justice Department defended not bringing charges against Biden because he’s a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” Additionally, Bailey pointed out that Joe Biden previously admitted to Speaker Johnson that he did not remember signing an executive order on a moratorium on energy exports to Europe. Who was making the decisions? The Oversight Project has gathered every document they could find with Biden’s signature – ALL used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that he was dropping out of the 2024 election. The Trump administration announced the end of $400 million worth of grants and contracts to Columbia University after the institution failed to protect Jewish students from anti-Semitic attacks. Anti-Israel protesters have organized destructive demonstrations in an attempt to force the university to divest from companies that are owned by Israelis or financially benefit Israel. The Trump administration alleges that the university has not done enough to tamp down the protests and protect its Jewish students from "harassment." The statement said this was just the first round of repercussions and that other actions would follow. The action was attributed to the Joint Task Force to fight Anti-Semitism. "The Task Force is continuing to review and coordinate across federal agencies to identify additional cancellations that could be made swiftly. DOJ, HHS, ED, and GSA are taking this action as members of the Joint Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism. Columbia University currently holds more than $5 billion in federal grant commitments," the statement continued. “Universities must comply with all federal antidiscrimination laws if they are going to receive federal funding," read a statement from Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. "For too long, Columbia has abandoned that obligation to Jewish students studying on its campus," she added. "Today, we demonstrate to Columbia and other universities that we will not tolerate their appalling inaction any longer.” https://www.theblaze.com/news/trump-columbia-funds-israel-protests The memo aims to deter judicial overreach and frivolous complaints. The fact sheet noted that injunctions "cost taxpayers millions or even billions of dollars." The Trump administration accused "activist," "unelected district judges" of granting "sweeping injunctions beyond their authority." "Activist groups file meritless suits for fundraising and political gain, facing no consequences when they lose, while taxpayers bear the costs and delays," the fact sheet read. "The Justice Department is forced to divert resources from public safety to fight these frivolous cases, weakening effective governance." It added, "Enforcing Rule 65(c) deters such litigation by holding plaintiffs accountable for costs and damages if their injunctions are baseless, protecting taxpayer funds and judicial integrity." After less than two months in office, the Trump administration is already facing more than 100 lawsuits from legal groups, labor unions, and other plaintiffs challenging several of the president's executive actions. https://www.theblaze.com/news/trump-targets-activists-frivolous-lawsuits-with-financial-penalties The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has uncovered and cancelled a $56,000 contract it was paying to a “plant contractor” to water eight decorative potted plants — with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) promising to water them “free of charge” from now on. “The VA cancelled a $56,000 contract to water ~8 plants for 5 years. This is ~$1400/plant/year,” DOGE, led by Elon Musk, said in a Thursday night X post: “The contract has been canceled and DOGE will water the plants free of charge,” the department added, along with photos of a pair of the VA’s potted plants next to a sign reading “Please do not water these plants. These plants are serviced by a plant contractor.” The latest, smaller cut comes after new VA Secretary Doug Collins announced bigger slashes to wasteful spending, including $2 billion in contracts last week, Breitbart News reported. According to the secretary, who was confirmed by the Senate in early February after being nominated by President Donald Trump, millions of dollars were being paid to consultants to create PowerPoint presentations and take meeting minutes. Collins asserted that the saved money will be “put back into healthcare, benefits, and making sure we’re doing what the VA is supposed to do.” President Donald Trump's Department of Homeland Security announced Friday that it has terminated its collective bargaining agreement with the Transportation Security Administration's more than 50,000 security officers. "TSA has more people doing full-time union work than we have performing screening functions at 86% of our airports.... the DHS contended. It noted that nearly 200 employees receiving government pay work "full-time on union matters." https://www.theblaze.com/news/trump-admin-cuts-tsa-union-deal-to-remove-bureaucratic-hurdles Missouri Attorney General Bailey Demands DOJ Investigate if Biden’s Cognitive Decline Allowed Staffers to Make Decisions without His Knowledge:
