NYC Mayor Adams eyes executive action to roll back sanctuary policies:

Adams seeks to circumvent the far-left city council members standing in ICE's way.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) stated Sunday that he is weighing executive action to amend the city's sanctuary status, bypassing the Democratic-controlled New York City Council.
He insisted that he has been advocating for more cooperation between ICE and New York City law enforcement prior to the November election.

Adams was asked whether he would consider allowing ICE to reopen its outpost at Rikers Island.

Last week, New York City Council member Robert Holden, a fellow Democrat, challenged Adams to back up his "tough talk" on the city's sanctuary policies by reopening ICE's office to facilitate easier communication between the city and federal immigration agents.

Adams told Kramer on Sunday, "I heard one councilman state that, indicating a litmus test. I'm not into litmus tests. I'm into solving problems."

The ‘TERRIFYING’ theory on the mysterious fleet of drones spotted near Trump golf course:

Over the last few weeks, clusters of large drones have been spotted flying around the Raritan River, which is located near North Central New Jersey. These alleged sightings have sparked concerns due to their proximity to President-elect Donald Trump’s Bedminster golf course as well as Picatinny Arsenal, a U.S. military research and manufacturing facility.

According to reports, these drones have been appearing since mid-November and usually return on a daily basis, flying in formation. In response, the FAA has issued temporary flight restrictions over Bedminster golf course and Picatinny Arsenal.

The FBI has also been investigating.

However, the FBI and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas’ involvement doesn’t make Glenn Beck feel any better.

“Does anybody think [Mayorkas] has any credibility whatsoever? He's like, ‘Well, I don't know what's going on,”’ he says, pointing out that Mayorkas also didn’t know what was going on at our border.

The FBI as well as New Jersey law enforcement have given similar statements, claiming that they don’t know where these drones came from or what their purpose is.

“That could very well be surveillance on the average American because they’re doing police work, [or] it could be our government doing it,” he says, noting that the sheer size of these drones (some reportedly as big as cars) likely aren’t owned by hobbyists.

“I think this is most likely our government. Second most likely — this is a China balloon,” he says. “The Chinese military drones that are in these gigantic fields, and thousands of thousands of them are flying in formation ... God forbid we get into World War III."

Biden White House Announces $20 Billion Loan to Ukraine Using Stolen, Frozen Russian Assets:

The Biden administration announced a controversial $20 billion loan to Ukraine on Tuesday.

The kicker? The funds are derived from frozen Russian assets, which critics are calling outright theft and an unprecedented gamble with international norms.

This decision is part of a broader $50 billion package orchestrated by the Group of Seven (G7) nations, aiming to support Ukraine amidst its ongoing conflict with Russia.

“These funds – paid for by the windfall proceeds earned from Russia’s own immobilized assets – will provide Ukraine a critical infusion of support as it defends its country against an unprovoked war of aggression,” Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen said in a statement.

Exclusive: Officer who killed Ashli Babbitt abandoned US Capitol post for card game, lied to investigators about it, source says:

The U.S. Capitol Police lieutenant who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt at the Capitol on Jan. 6 was recommended for termination in 2001 for abandoning his post in the Speaker’s Office for a card game in a nearby cloakroom, then lying about it to Internal Affairs Division investigators, Blaze News has learned.

A source with detailed knowledge of the Internal Affairs Division case told Blaze News that Byrd was charged with abandoning his post, eating and drinking at his post, and lying to investigators — a terminable offense. It is one of three Byrd disciplinary cases for which records could not be found when a House oversight subcommittee requested them in early 2024, the source said.

The USCP disciplinary officer recommended that Byrd be fired.  Even with the evidence and firing recommendation, Capitol Police administration did not part ways with Byrd.

Records obtained by the Committee on House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight showed top House Democrats worked with DiBiase to find ways to help Byrd financially in the months after he shot and killed Babbitt at the Capitol. The records were first disclosed by journalist John Solomon and Just the News.

Byrd was given $36,000 in unrestricted funds as a “retention bonus” in 2021, while other Capitol Police officers received around $3,000 each. Byrd was reimbursed for more than $21,000 in security upgrades for his personal residence in Prince George’s County.

Capitol Police paid to house Byrd at the Joint Base Andrews military facility from July 2021 until late January 2022 at a cost of more than $35,000, according to records obtained by Judicial Watch Inc. When he left the base for any reason, Byrd was provided with a Capitol Police dignitary protection detail, which a source told Blaze News could easily cost $425 per hour.

Byrd was suspended for 33 days without pay in 2019 for leaving his loaded service weapon in a bathroom in the Capitol Visitor Center. The gun was left unattended in the bathroom for some 55 minutes before it was discovered by another officer.

Byrd also has a long history of financial troubles, according to Maryland public records and federal court filings.  According to federal court records, Byrd filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy on March 9, 2009....

Trump rings New York Stock Exchange opening bell to celebrate Time's Person of the Year cover:

President-elect Donald Trump was expected to ring the New York Stock Exchange opening bell on Thursday morning to celebrate the unveiling of the cover of Time magazine's Person of the Year edition.

Three sources familiar with the plans reportedly told Politico that Trump would be named Time's 2024 Person of the Year. He previously secured the title in 2016 following his first presidential election victory against Hillary Clinton.

Despite being a native New Yorker, Trump has never participated in the tradition of ringing the opening bell to commence trading, a practice dating back to the 1800s.
