Woke Olympics Pushing for Air-Conditioning Free Facilities, Athletes Not So Happy:

Olympics officials in Paris intend to nix air conditioning in their 2024 Olympic Village, but the athletes are reportedly not very pleased with the woke scheme and are making plans to subvert the drive for “sustainability.”

Officials are planning what they call the “greenest ever Games” for this year’s Olympics. They have opted not to install air-conditioning in the residences where the athletes will stay while training and competing in this year’s international games.

Instead, engineers have devised a different cooling plan, which consists of pipes of running water lying under the quarters’ floorboards.

But with more than 5,000 French citizens having perished from last summer’s extreme heatwave, some athletes are worried that the watery pipe scheme may not keep them comfortable while they try to focus their minds on the games.

Indeed, so many athletes are worried over the heat issue that some countries — including Team U.S.A. — have announced that they are bringing their own AC units to the Olympic Village, despite what Paris Olympics officials want.

Other countries that have confirmed their decision to bring their own AC units include Canada, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Japan, and Australia.  Indeed, Australia noted that its Olympic officials are spending $100,000 on AC units.

British farmers are being paid to leave crops rotting in the ground or to “plant” food for the birds:

A British farmer has said that the government has offered a scheme to pay farmers not to supply food for three years. This scheme is part of a larger trend where farmers are being financially incentivised by the state to reduce food production.  Why would they do that?

Last week, TrailBlazingTruths posted a video clip on TikTok of Cornish farmer Keith Andrews explaining how the UK government is incentivising farmers not to grow food.

“We’ve been offered £2,500 to join a scheme for the next three years where we don’t supply you any food,” he said.

“I’m going to plough a field.  I’m going to put spring barley in.  I’m going to get £440 off the Government, per acre. Then when it comes to crop size, leave it [to] rot in the ground.

“So, I don’t get no straw for the cattle, you don’t get nothing for your bread, for everything we make.

“I can also plant bee mix which is for birds and bees.  I can plant wild bird seed which is for wild birds.

“I can also be paid to buy a tonne of bird seed, like anybody puts in their garden for the birds, and threw it out on the ground once a week.  I can get paid for that.  “My accountant says ‘do it’.

The ELM schemes have the stated aim of “support[ing] the rural economy while achieving the goals of the 25 Year Environment Plan and a commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2050.”  This alone tells us that the schemes have dubious origins and motives.

“But what if you want some bread? You’ll have to get a loaf made from wheat that was grown abroad. And how’s that good for global warming?”

Police Use Biometric Tech to Identify 7,000+ Who Stormed Miami Soccer Tournament, May Face Deportation:

Law enforcement authorities have identified over 7,000 people who stormed the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, for the Copa América soccer tournament final this month, the Qatari outlet BeIN Media reported on Tuesday, and many may face fines, prison, or even deportation.

The Copa América is a quadrennial regional tournament pitting the national men’s teams of the Western Hemisphere against each other. The United States hosted this year’s tournament, which concluded with a final in which Argentina defeated Colombia 1-0. It is the world’s oldest soccer tournament.

The final in Miami faced what was an unprecedented situation for the Hard Rock Stadium. Hours before the final match on July 14, thousands of people who did not possess tickets organized to storm the stadium. Violent mobs used physical force to overpower the minimal security presence at the stadium, stampeding through barricades, preventing fans – some who had paid thousands of dollars for tickets – from taking their seats.

Some fans wearing Colombian soccer jerseys were filmed crawling into the stadium’s ventilation system to sneak in. One fan, a Salvadoran man wearing an Argentine jersey, told an Argentine news outlet that a woman in a Colombian jersey pistol-whipped him, stormed through the barricades, and entered the stadium with a gun, seemingly unimpeded by security.

The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), the association in charge of the tournament, delayed the match for an hour in an attempt to expel the unticketed fans and allow rightful patrons to take their seats, but security failed to subdue the mob and the match began anyway. An estimated 8,000 people are believed to have illegally attended the match without tickets.

“The identified fans now face severe consequences. They could face criminal charges leading to hefty fines or even imprisonment,” BeIN reported.

Hernández said that police expect that, as they legally process those identified in the mob scene, many could lose their visas and their permanent residence if they have it.  “It is possible that, if that person hooked their family to bring them to the United States, they may also ‘dismiss’ [deport] the family.”

Some have called for the United States to lose hosting duties for the World Cup....  The 2022 World Cup, the last edition of the tournament, took place in the repressive Islamist emirate of Qatar, where no such mob scenes were documented.

‘Hamas is coming': Protesters pull down US flag, vandalize DC landmarks:

“Hamas is coming,” was scrawled in red across the face of the the Christopher Columbus Memorial Fountain at Union Station, alongside slogans, such as “free Gaza”...

Anti-Israel activists vandalized Washington DC landmarks in protest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address before Congress Wednesday, defacing them with pro-Hamas slogans and pulling down the Stars and Stripes and replacing them with Palestinian flags.

“Hamas is coming,” was scrawled in red across the face of the Christopher Columbus Memorial Fountain at Union Station, according to photographs published by the protest group Palestinian Assembly for Liberation-Awda. The graffiti was accented with the inverted red triangle favored in Hamas videos to denote the targeting of enemies. The foundation was covered in smaller triangles and slogans, such as “free Gaza”...

The Liberty Bell replica Freedom Bell, American Legion, which stands across from the fountain, was completely covered in graffiti and red inverted triangles, according to Congressman Ryan Zinke. In a video posted to X, Zinke highlighted graffiti on the bell that said “Abolish the USA.”

The American flags that flew at Union Station were pulled down from their poles and replaced with Palestinian flags, according to a video posted on Instagram by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM). Timcast News documented that the US flags were set on fire.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw said on X that later that night he and other members of the house with the aid of the Capitol Police raised new American Flags in their stead.
