For the first time since the war began Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenzkyy announced that he would be willing to cede territory to Russia in order to end the Russia-Ukrainian/NATO war. Zelenskyy added that the agreement would also recommend a “NATO umbrella” of protection for territory still under its control. In his interview with Sky News he made the remarks that he would be willing to cede ground to Russia in exchange for NATO membership. It is likely that Russia will not agree to Zelensky’s demands. French President Emmanuel Macron hailed the “sublime” rebuild of the magnificent 12th-century gothic Notre Dame de Paris cathedral as he toured it before reopening on Friday. Notre Dame de Paris will reopen on December 7th, in time for Christmas, some five years and eight months after it was tragically gutted by fire, burning out the roof and bringing down its magnificent timber and lead spire. French President Emmanuel Macron, who has somewhat tied himself politically to the rebuild — having promised to have it done in five years shortly after the blaze — made a final site visit to the church on Friday and met with some of the workers who had repaired the building. More fundamental questions remain over if and when such fires will happen again and what, if anything, has been learnt from the very near total loss of Notre Dame de Paris. As reported last year French historian Didier Rykner sounded the alarm over the continued danger to world-class heritage. As stated: Leveling his criticism at the French government this week, he warns governments are more dedicated to imposing new ecological standards on ancient structures than protecting them from being consumed by fire during renovation work… Rykner said the devastating Notre Dame fire could have been avoided, and the government had already been warned about insufficient fire protection at the site shortly before the blaze. These warnings, he claims, were ignored. Several BBC journalists resigned from the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) after being asked to wear colors of the Palestinian flag or a keffiyeh, a scarf synonymous with pro-Palestinian and Hamas support, in a move deemed “hypocritical and antisemitic.” A number of BBC staff members have quit the NUJ after receiving a directive encouraging workers to “wear something red, green, black, or a Palestinian keffiyeh,” according to a Jewish News report. The request, sent jointly by the NUJ and the Trades Union Congress (TUC), was part of a “Day of Action for Palestine” aimed at supporting a ceasefire in Gaza, a move that would undoubtedly cement Hamas’s hold on power. Critics within the BBC called the action a violation of the broadcaster’s impartiality standards. The lack of manpower has developed into an even greater problem for the Ukrainian troops than the lack of missiles, drones, artillery, or any other weapons systems. Not only death and the wounded leave Kiev’s troops lacking strength, but the deserters have become a major issue. Desertion is ‘starving’ the army and crippling its battle plans. Associated Press reported: On Thursday, The Times published an article chronicling the turmoil caused by Blair Flemming, a biological male on the San Jose State University Spartans women’s college volleyball team. Multiple teams in the Mountain West Conference have forfeited games rather than place their players in harm’s way. Tennis icon Martina Navratilova stated, “NYT- you stink. We are women, not NOT TRANSGENDER WOMEN. Just WOMEN will do in the future.” https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/11/war-women-new-york-times-actual-women-as/ Developing: Ukrainian President Agrees for First Time to Cede Territory to Russia in Order to End War:
