📢 Forum Update - Hello everyone! I've made an improvement to the forum that should make following active discussions much easier. Beginning today, forum topics will display the most recent replies first (while keeping the original topic post at the top), so you no longer have to navigate through multiple pages to find the latest conversation. This change also helps improve the browsing experience in long-running discussions with many pages of replies. If you notice anything that doesn't seem to be working correctly or have any feedback, please let me know. — Richard G. Hi Churchgal, Thank you for the scripture and the comment. I thought it was a good thing to bring up because we as Christians are supposed to be able to give an account for why we believe what we believe. And certainly at this point in time that has to include being able to debunk some of these doctrines of demons coming out of the TV. I feel sorry for this medium on TV because she seems to thinks she is helping these people who have been "haunted" and some have had harrowing experiences. However, in promoting her beliefs about the nature of all this, I believe she is damaging people's faith in Christ. She never mentions Jesus and leaves people with the impression that most of the people passed on "go to the light", meaning Heaven. In reality anyone without the belief and acceptance of Christ's dying for their sins goes to a Christless eternity, hell. Tom Gaston, who researches the Bible Code, gave me this quote about the nature of all this if it helps anyone understand this better: "These so called “Mediums” are in contact with “demons” who were associated with the deceased subject. These demons know all about the dead person’s life as they monitored them all the way up until their death. Therefore a medium who is working with a demon can relay information to family members about a deceased member of their family. The demon therefore can give the medium all kinds of information on that person." So when this medium on the program claims a person's grandmother has showed up from the beyond and is protecting them, it is really a masquerading demon. We are supposed to test any spirit that shows up by asking "has Jesus Christ come in the flesh"? Anything but a praising yes shows it is a demon and the next step should be to tell it to go away in the name of Jesus. 1 John 4 The Bible also explicitly forbids attempting to communicate with the dead. Deuteronomy 18:10-14 details how it those who practice this are detestable to the Lord. I also agree that if they do hear any voices or channel that it is that of demons. All of this and including the alien stuff is all demonic.....and it will be part of the great deception, sadly many will be deceived. What I mean to say, is this is one of the doctrines of demons for the last days. It makes for a popular TV show but it is certainly decieving.
New King James Version
Love for God and One Another
4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
