There is a TV show called "The Haunting Of" which involves paranormal experiences of some celebrity. A medium joins the celebrity and they go back to the place of the haunting. The medium usually claims they are being joined by spirits of several of the celebrity's relatives who have passed on and correctly names them. She also claims they are protecting that person. Then she correctly identifies what is going on with the haunting and names the person. They dig up an article with the name of a person in the area who has passed on with that name as proof of the medium's accuracy. Then they usually end by telling the haunting earthbound spirit to go to the light. Just checking that everyone here knows this is all rubbish and she is contacting familiar spirits that are demonic. Some play the good guy. There is a book I read a long time ago called "The Challenging Counterfeit" by an ex spiritest and he explained that all of those spirits good It's surprising that the celebrities all seem to accept the medium at her word and of course she is convincing because she believes it herself. I saw Kevin Sorbo on one of these programs and he is a Christian, and he didn't question any of her practices. I guess a lot of Christians You are so right churchgal. In all these alien shows over the years has anyone produced a live or dead alien as irrefutable proof that these aliens really exist? No. Have they even produced an alien space craft that everyone can study? No The same with big foot; some obscure films and pics, but not physical bodies. What they do is say the government stands in the way and stops them. (poor excuse) I don't waste my time even watching any of these alien shows. Even this Bob Lazar stuff is just based what he has said. Phil Watch out for these TV preachers who are laying hands over the TV screen, peddling special ointments, and prayer candles. The same ones who wave their hands and somehow command demons to be cast out right through the viewer's TV screen. And while at the same time are pumping the TV audience for lots of money--money that most of the TV listeners cannot afford. You don't have to look far on some of these Christian prosperity gospel stations to see this. Just look at the mega-dollars incomes of some of them while more and more debt piles up on their already almost penniless viewers. I won't name these con artists; there are too many to name. Phil Demons are the epitome of evil! None have been forgiven, as none have repented! As this also holds true for many men! God be glorified in His judgements! TR Hello Earthangel :bye: I have been super concerned about the medium stuff on TV and also of that show Ancient Aliens....they never offer any proof of any kind, of course they don't have any; but in every episode they always say "What if an alien race left such and such or helped make this or that?" They just consistently give credit for anything they don't understand to an alien civilization that came to earth. These types of things are leading people away from Jesus and hope and heaven; and usually for a cost too. I worry how much of it is getting into the church! Some which are obviously new age are starting to use crystals and bizarre rituals, and I heard my sister say the other day (she is a baby Christian who ought to know more by now than she does) that she thought everyone went to heaven!!! I told her, well that's not what Jesus says- you might want to quit trusting in what you think and get into the Word and see what Jesus says.....sorry didn't mean to vent, discussing faith issues with family members sometimes makes me :calvin :mdrmdr:
and bad are demonic. Then again, surely, not everyone can "go to the light", if those without Christ go to hell. The medium on TV admits she is "channeling'. If the Christian dead go to be with the Lord and cannot return other than the resurrection and the unChristian dead go to hell and certainly cannot return, who is left to channel?
are not well enough read in the Bible to be suspicious of these things.
