My jaw hit the floor hard this morning while reading this report which quotes Israeli Defense Minister, Naftali Bennett, as stating that Israel has moved from a position of containing Iran in Syria to expulsion altogether. Wow, wow, wow!! As I was reading that, I could almost see Damascus going up on flames. The story below: Defense Minister Bennett: Israel goes from containing Iran in Syria - to expulsion - Israeli warplanes were alleged to have struck targets near Damascus early Monday, April 27, hours after Defense Minister Naftali Bennett said: “Keep yours ears open. We have moved from containing Iran’s military presence in Syria to expulsion.” Syrian agencies report that Israeli planes targeted Iranian sites south of Damscus including locatons near Al-Kiswah, Sahnaya and Set Zaynab, causing minor damage and casualties. One missile hit an Iranian site in Set Zaynab. This was described as the second Israel attack in a week, in both of which Syrian air defense batteries were said to have intercepted some of the airborne missiles fired. The first attack blamed on Israel occurred on April 20 in the Palmyra region and was said by Syrian opposition sources to have killed 9 Iranian militiamen and Hizballah fighters. After the reported attack on Monday, the Israeli planes were described as loosing missiles from low altitudes over southern Lebanon. The opposition TV station Halab Today reported loud explosions and continuous ambulance traffic for an hour before Syrian air defenses began responding. Sunday night, Defense Minister Naftali Bennett stressed: “We are not only continuing to contain Iran’s military footprint in Syria but have moved categorially to a strategy of expulsion. Keep your ears cocked,” he said. “Iran doesn’t rest for a moment, but neither do we. For Tehran, this is an adventure a thousand kilometers from home; for us it is life,” Bennett went on to say: “And so we are more determined than ever not to allow Iran to set up a forward base against us in Syria.” DEBKAfile: It was to Syria – even before Baghdad – that Gen. Esmail Qa’ani’s made his first foreign visit after succeeding the late Qassem Soleimani as Al Qods chief – evidence of Iran’s continuing focus on maintaining that forward base. Qa’ani inspected Iranian assets in the northern town of Aleppo. Yep. Would appear that Isaiah 17 could be fulfilled before our eyes any day now. The way it reads, seems like the attack will take place in the evening, and before the morning of that next day Damascus will be laid waste as a ruinous heap. Today, Syria is 8 hours ahead of CDT here in the US. Syria sunset today is 7:15PM local Syrian time, with the sun coming up the next morning around 5:50 AM local time. That would translate into a current window of 11:15 AM- 9:50 PM CDT where the destruction would take place if it were to happen today. Tic toc. Tic toc, indeed. The hits just keep on coming. Tomorrow, April 29th Israel will be celebrating its 72nd Birthday! Per Amir’s twitter “Riots in Lebanon, civil wars in Syria and Iraq, terrible economic crisis in Iran and Turkey and terror is afflicting Egypt’s. And Israel? We are getting out of the Coronavirus, celebrating 72nd birthday with AA credit rate and $176 Billion in reserves. Do you still doubt the God factor in it?“ - Fair Use - Oldies and moldies, but the hits just keep coming! TR
