Friends:  We just lost our 17 year old dog that was cherished and loved by family, friends, and all others that ever came into contact with her.  I know that others have experienced (or will soon experience) this sad fate.  Although our dog couldn't talk or write while on this earth, I did receive this message from her conveyed through the Holy Spirit.

Please don’t be sad now that I’m gone,

My legs once more are as strong as the wind,

I have no more encumbrances or nagging pain,

And I’m able to run and jump again.

I’m so sorry that I had to leave you now,

But our separation will just be for a short while,

Soon we’ll be together for all eternity,

To laugh, to love, to dance, to smile.

My life has been full, I have savored so much,

Don’t diminish those memories with undue grief,

We’ll meet again soon in Heavenly Pastures,

I’ve been told me that this interval will be very brief.

Jesus is currently holding me in His lovingly arms,

And He appreciates the care that you provided to me,

Let not your heart be troubled –please share my delight,

I am unbelievably happy and have finally been set free!

I will see you soon, so keep please keep smiling,

I am no longer blind nor deaf,

Your Blessed Hope is on the far horizon,

I will always love you -- you are my beloved BFF!

I seldom cry except when I have to put a pet down. It so crushes my spirit. I know with complete certainty that I will be reunited with them in Heaven. I had to put down my oldest dog a year ago and I’m still sad over it. Pets are such a gift form God, and dogs especially because they love us unconditionally. None of my cats ever expressed love like my dogs have. I am so grateful for the space they all own in my heart and soul.

i am saddened and sorry for your loss, Humbly. ?

Like losing a family member.  I hate death.  So sorry for your loss and praying the Lord will comfort you and your family members as you work through the grieving process...

Not being an avowed pet owner, I must default to the emotional attachments that are formed!

Hoping that each of you will find your beloved pet's in Heaven.  And if not find new one's.

Seem's to me, if I will no longer be husband to my wife, I cannot scriptural guarantee the same for pets!

It's a matter of focus. Focusing the affections of the heart.

We must love God, justice and mercy, the brethren and even our enemies.  In general love what God would love!

Likewise we are also instructed what to hate.  No where is there scriptural injunction to love animals, as they were not created in God's image and likeness!

We are told to have regard for what the Lord has created, and were given liberty to subdue all!

Attachment to the animal kingdom is simply a human tendency.

And animalistic characterizations and traits were often given god like status and worshipped!

A fondness or like for certain animals surely seems acceptable.  However we find beauty in God's creation whether plant, animal or mineral, we are then free to give thanks with an appreciative heart!

Deep emotional attachments that cross over into the Heavenly realm can't be guarenteed!

Humbly, I’m so sorry.  Is that her in your avatar picture?  If so, she is a real beauty!    What a lovely tribute you just wrote.  I will be praying for you and your family during this difficult time.  Take comfort ... she is in heaven and perhaps touring your heavenly dwelling place and breaking it in!   I did research a few years ago about pets in heaven and there are many Bible verses indicating we will see our beloved fur babies once more.  They are good gifts from the Lord.

Genesis 1:25 “And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

James 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Jesus is not an Indian giver.  God gave us a love for our pets and we chose to be stewards over them and it just doesn’t end in this life but will continue in the after life as well.

Psalm 36:6 .... O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.  (Preservest - means to keep from decay)

In this passage it shows our pets are waiting for the rapture event

Romans 8:19-23

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body (aka the rapture) :yahoo:

Our beloved pets will be with us at the praise ceremony in heaven and we will be hearing them talk like in the days before the fall in the Garden of Eden.  Eve certainly wasn’t afraid to talk to the snake back then so it looks like the animals will get their voices back.

We see here in this verse God prepares a great feast for the birds

Revelation 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

And at the wedding banquet feast ... I’m expecting the Lord to include our fur babies to be with us and I’m almost positive they will be talking and will be requesting what particular food they want on their plates.  :mdrmdr:

Revelation 5:11-14

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Bless your heart Sis and all those who love their individual pets!  All that you have stated is true.

During the Millenial Reign we shall indeed enjoy animals and join in worship of God with them.  Just as like with every blade of grass, every flower of the field and leaf upon the trees!

But we must still rightly divide the Word.  That said, will God resurrect dearly departed pets, not spoken of!

Are pets inclusive in the Rapture, not hardly.  Again I am amazed that many Christian's are more willing to release loved family members and spouses over personal pets!

This does create interesting theological dillemas.  God can certainly overcome however!

In short, I speak to attachments that will all be made anew!  As precious as personal pets have been for only some, this may take on a different status in glory!

General enjoyment of animals might prevail rather than specific and heartfelt attachments!

That said, I won't bring up this topic again given the overwhelming sensitivity involved!

May the Prince of Peace give you comfort in this sad time, Humbly.

I know what it’s like to lose a pet or having to take an animal to put it down. So heart wrenching. 🙁

I do hope we’ll see our pets in heaven. I’d love to see cats romping through a meadow, purring up a storm or dogs wagging their tails constantly from sheer joy. Smile
