More and more, we are seeing firsthand what it looks like for men and women to operate with a depraved, reprobate mind, as described in Romans 1. You can recognize it when people say things that make absolutely no sense and/or are completely disconnected from reality. As TR likes to say, it can appear like a spirit of stupid. They have lost their God-given ability to discern between good and evil, right and wrong. They are often delusional, with seared consciences. They are capable of doing the most heinous things. And there are now millions of them in our country, thanks in no small part to an evil, morally bankrupt, truth-lacking public educational system that has now produced multiple generations of heart-hardened reprobates. Look at the following passage at the end of Romans and see how crystal clearly these God-haters, whom we are witnessing today in full bloom, are so accurately described: Romans 1:28-32 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. You cannot appeal to these beings with logic, common grace, or moral decency. They don't speak those languages. If this is what it looks like today, with the Restrainer still fully intact, I shudder to think what is going to happen just one moment after the Restrainer is removed. I strongly disagree with folks who somehow think the first half of the tribulation will be "peace and safety". Are you kidding me? The instant the Restrainer is removed, evil will flood in uncontrolled just like darkness fills the void when a light switch is turned off. From my semi-educated perspective, it appears to me we are approaching a tipping point for the world, one which will hopefully bring about the rapture of the Church. More and more believers are desperately crying out to the Lord to rescue us from this God-hating, Christ-rejecting, evil-embracing world. My sense is that we are metaphorically not in the final months, weeks, days, hours or minutes, but rather in the final seconds of the age of Grace before that trumpet sounds and we are called up.
