I love that, Sis! "God’s Way of Salvation is meant to be embraced ".  In my Bible reading this morning, Matthew 21, Jesus talks of being the Cornerstone and how he was rejected. In verse 21 He says "And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder." The commentaries suggest that "whoever falls on this stone will be broken" means those of apathy but I see it a bit differently. I see it as our lives, the true believes, fall on Him and are broken before Him. It is in our brokenness that He moves in our lives.  As you said so wonderfully, God’s Way of Salvation is meant to be embraced!!!!

So good to see you again!

:amen:  Thank you for bumping this up ... somehow I missed it the first time around.

Speaking about cornerstone and highest mountains.

Yesterday I was in an email discussion about the giants on Mt Hermon.   J.R. Church/Gary Stearman taught they believe it was on Mt Hermon that the transfiguration took place as well as where Jesus asked his disciples who do you say I am?  And Simon Peter answered and said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”  And Jesus answered and said unto him,  “Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock (Jesus is the cornerstone) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”  Jesus was ALSO rebuking the demons that their sinister acts of creating giants to ruin the DNA of man so they couldn’t  get saved is not going to prevail  against Him building His church. :good:

One of the unknowns of the New Testament is the identification of the mountain where Jesus underwent his Transfiguration. The Matthew account of the Transfiguration is as follows.

"And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead." (Matthew 17:1–9)

Many scholars thought the transfiguration occurred on ....

Mount Tabor
Mount Tabor (575 metres or 1,886 feet high) is the traditional location. The earliest identification of the Mount of Transfiguration as Tabor is by Origen in the 3rd century. It is also mentioned by St. Cyril of Jerusalem and St. Jerome in the 4th century. The Church of the Transfiguration is located atop Mount Tabor.[1] It is later mentioned in the 5th century Transitus Beatae Mariae Virginis.

However the highest mountain in that region is ...

Mount Hermon
Mount Hermon (2814 metres or 9,232 feet high), was suggested by R. H. Fuller and J. Lightfoot[2] for two reasons: It is the highest in the area (and the Transfiguration took place on "an high mountain" (Matthew 17:1)), and it is located near Caesarea Philippi (Matthew 16:13), where the previous events reportedly took place.

The fallen angels told of in the book of Enoch, landed on this mountain for the purpose of polluting God's creation through the creation of giants, "mighty men of old, men of renown" (Genesis 6)

Ironic because The Munster TV show - check out the symbolism
Herman - half man/half beast Frankenstein
Lily - she loved dead things, cobwebs, black spiders, I can’t remember if she cut the flowers off the stems or what that the Addams Family?   Jesus is called the Lily of the Valley so is it a mock out?
Grandpa - a vampire
Eddie - a werewolf
Marilyn - still fully human (Mary worship?)
Spot - their pet dragon

I used to faithfully watch ”the Munsters” as a child before I got saved - 3 - 5 yrs old.  Then in 2000 the reruns were on TVLand .. so as I was watching them again ... one episode I saw grandpa was in his dungeon lab and calling on the “god of the underworld”!   I was so shocked and it creeped me out and I quickly turned the channel and never wanted to see another program.   When unsaved we are blinded by this stuff and then later made aware of the sneaky junk they put in on so called “harmless” programs. :negative:

Just wondering if there were no mountains prior to the flood?  Was it all flat land?

It says the waters covered the high hills and then the mountains but could they have formed when the fountains of the great deep broke up and pushed their way to the earth surface?

Also wondering why  Noah’s ark rested on Mt Ararat in Turkey and still covered under ice?  Was it to preserve the ark down through the centuries so man could not get to it to destroy the evidence?  And will it be used for some purpose in the millennium period ... perhaps as a museum to visit as we are teaching Bible history to those who were allowed to enter the kingdom age?  Wouldn’t that be cool?

Genesis 7

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. The same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.  And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
