I agree Sis!  Well said!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus!  That's it!

I think it is possible to be saved and not understand the Triune nature of God. One, as noted already, does not have to be a theologian to be reconciled to God. There will be people from every tribe, tongue and nation that have simply believed in the gospel and put their faith and trust in Jesus for their salvation and have only rudimentary knowledge theologically.

However, once you are saved and you start to study God’s word, you absolutely will come to an understanding that God is Triune in nature. This is basic, foundational knowledge. If you can’t get that right, you have no business teaching anyone about anything Biblical.

Therefore, IMHO, Barry Awe should not be promoted on this forum.

However, I have said enough and do not wish to derail this thread. Now back to my grumpiness.

Bless your heart brother!  I truly admire the strength of your convictions.  You arguments are duly noted!

I agree, we cannot esteem one man's teachings  over solid and foundational truths!

Truth being we have to glean what we can and test truth presented!  For sure!

Thank you, TR. You are always gracious and I can see our Blessed Lord working through you.

Blue, I regret my bluntness. I do feel strongly about the subject but I must do everything in love. If I have failed at that, I am sorry. 🙁

We are all a work in progress.  There is a discussion over on the Facebook RITAN about John MacArthur's wrong teachings too. I go to a very sound church, but every week I find something to be critical of.  There is probably something wrong with the following website too, but I think it is a good explanation of the new moon and the twinkling of an eye.  The new moon is the dark moon, so on the 17th.  It is 14 days after the full moon--so maybe even the 16th since the full moon is supposed to be on the 2nd. The twinkling of an eye is the moment the sun, moon and earth are aligned.  I was glad to have Dr. Awe bring this up because I had always heard it had something to do with the moment before sunset.  If the groom comes at midnight, the sunset explanation never made sense to me.
