I’ve been pondering this ....

The Jews set out a plate and cup at their table every Passover expecting Elijah to hopefully show up at their house.  Do you think the 2 witnesses will show up then?  Perhaps the church is gone on that highwatch day?

Or will we be gone a week earlier on Palm Sunday?

Rev.7:9 describes the tribulation saints that appear in heaven ... they are holding palms in their hands ... so could they also be caught up to heaven like the church was a few years earlier on the very same holiday?

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Or will we get a heads up confirmation and see the 2 witnesses come on the scene very late Passover night  and in the early morning hours Resurrection Day, its the churches time to disappear?

Or will it happen on Pentecost the churches birthday?

Just wondering your thoughts?

Those are all great questions Geri and any of them could be right.  We seem to have many more ? than answers.   The one thing we do know however is that we will be going up soon.

Not sure of the exact timing, but on a related note I am fascinated but the thought that the entire world will be able to watch the two witnesses lay dead in the streets of Jerusalem for 3 1/2 days and then be resurrected on live TV watched by millions/billions.  This sounds like it could be a live webcam being streamed on millions of smart phones.  Could never have happened prior to our generation.  While the world is celebrating their death, God will crash the party with His resurrection power again. One more potential piece of the puzzle.  Maranatha!!!

Revelation 11:7-11 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also [c]our Lord was crucified. 9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations [d]will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. 10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.  11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

Besides the Jewish traditional belief that Elijah shall appear on Passover, I came across a strange incident few years ago.

It was in spring. When I was studying the 3.5 days in Revelation 11, I was pondering in a deep thought.

Revelation 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Why did God use 3.5 days instead of 4 days? Back in the first century, Jewish observed half day as a full day. If it is 3.5 days, they call it 4 days. Also, when God gave forth a prophecy concerning the number of days, He always uses a full day instead of a half day. Examples are 1260 days, 1290 days, and 1335 days. There is no half day in these days.

While I was pondering on these questions, a thought came to me " Think Feast of Tabernacles !!". All of sudden, I understood 3.5 days right away. Feast of Tabernacle lasts 7 days. 7 days divided by 2 = 3.5 days. 3.5 days "is" the middle of Feast of Tabernacle. Now, sunset in Jerusalem around Tabernacle always begins roughly at 6 pm. And Feast of Tabernacle begins on sunset of Tishri 14.

Day 1 6 pm Tishri 14 ---- 6 pm Tishri 15

Day 2 6 pm Tishri 15 ----- 6 pm Tishri 16

Day 3 6 pm Tishri 16 ------ 6 pm Tishri 17

Half day 6 pm Tishri 17 ------ 6 am Tishri 18

Three and half day shall fall on the morning of Tishri 18. This is the time the two witnesses ascend to heaven. And immediately there is an earthquake and 7000 people are killed. This is the second woe.

Some people may say why don't we use Feast of Unleavened Bread which is also a 7 days feast. But my thought told me " Think Feast of Tabernacle !!", not Feast of Passover. Plus it goes in line with the Jewish belief that their Elijah shall appear on Passover. By adding 1260 days of their ministry starting from Passover, we always come to Tabernacle.

Having said this and based on my encounter with "my thought" few years ago, and the timeline of  2019 Late Spring/Early summer Rapture to 2026 Passover Second coming, I placed the arrival of two witnesses on 2020 Passover, with their 1260 days ministry ended  on the eve of Tabernacle Tishri 14 2023.  And 3.5 days later, in the morning of Tishri 18, they hear God's voice and ascend to heaven.

I need to read about them again, but maybe the 2 witnesses will come down at Pentecost (i read a few interesting things about what they do in Israel for that- Shavuot)...(so that the Jewish people will be taught soon after we leave more about their true Messiah?  maybe many will at least turn to God and seek His help with the Ezekiel 38 war coming soon thereafter?)

I've been reading, and thinking about the Spring feasts and hoping maybe God is going to have us follow in Jesus's footsteps (after He died as our Passover lamb) by having the dead in Christ be resurrected and us given our glorified (Unleavened) bodies and also be called up to meet Him in the clouds very early morning on Resurrection Day- would be awesome to get to go on the 21st of April this year (or before that...but I do trust & want His timing no matter what)...and then maybe very soon after meeting Jesus in the air, He will be ushering us into and presenting us before our Heavenly Father as the rest of the (barley) harvest of which Jesus was the first fruits?  Our removal before God's wrath, our deliverance from the time of the Tribulation is our Blessed Hope- I sure hope it's very very soon, but not my will but His be done and I know it can happen at any time...I trust Him.

(maybe all the fall feasts will have more to do with Jesus' physical return all the way down to Earth?)

Another thing to consider is that their 3 1/2 year ministry also coincides with Jesus's own ministry, which lasted 3 1/2 years as well.

God uses many numbers in His dealings with men.  Both even and odd numbers.  He seems to have appropriated the odd numbers for special assignments.

Thank you for sharing the parallel between Jesus’ ministry and that of the 2 witnesses both with the 3 1/2 year timeframe!   That never dawned on me.  Very fascinating indeed. :good:

When I first started learning about Bible prophecy almost 25 years ago I would read that everyone on planet earth would see the dead bodies of the 2 witnesses because of cable and satellite television. And I believed that but would think to myself that not everyone on planet earth has a TV or a satellite dish or has access to cable or satellite services and even with the rise of PC's and the internet again I would think not everyone on planet earth has a computer and access to the internet. And whenever I would read these words from Revelation 11:10 "And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another" It always made me think that the 2 witnesses would be killed around Christmas time. Fast forward 25 years now and there are more cell phones on planet earth than people. And in 2019 the number of mobile phone users is forecast to reach 4.68 billion. The number of mobile phone users in the world is expected to pass the five billion mark by 2019. In 2016, an estimated 62.9 percent of the population worldwide already owned a mobile phone. So with all of the cell phones in existence right now theoretically every single last person on planet earth right now could see the dead bodies of the 2 witnesses and send each other gifts at the same time ! How close are we !!!
