Do you think the 2 witnesses ministry ends around Christmas time since the unsaved are seen celebrating and sending gifts to one another? Also what could possibly be the gifts? I’m assuming they will be purchasing items using their cell phones or iPads. I just can’t imagine what the gifts could be since they are facing the following troubles ... Famine, 100 pound hailstone damage, 1/3 trees/grass burnt up. The sea/rivers and fountains of drinking water become blood and wormwood (bitter). 1/3 part of sea life dies. The demon locust will sting man like a scorpion for 5 months. The sun will be scorching them, etc. Seems to me that the sending of gifts is just a general expression of celebration. And they wouldn't need to be purchased. Given that they will be or soon be dancing with the devil, that the gifts may honor the world order in some fashion. Simply trying to further validate their bad choices, perhaps through some sort of affirmation! And whenever people celebrate there is usually music involved! Songs, poems, flowers, candy/food, wine, effigies of the dead prophets,and visceral expressions against God Almighty! Idols for worship?! Just some guesses. The clue is 3.5 days in Revelation 11:11. 11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. When God foretells an event which involves days, He hardly uses half day. Examples are 1260 days, 1290 days, and 1335 days. There is no half day on these days. There must be a reason fro Him to use half day in verse 11. Few years ago while I was pondering on these 3.5 days, a thought came to my mind " Tabernacle !!". Immediately I understood these 3.5 days. Feast of Tabernacle is a 7 days feast. It begins on Tishri 15, and ends on Tishri 21. Three days and an half points to middle of this feast. 7 days divided by 2 = 3.5 days. Now, sunset in Jerusalem during feast of Tabernacle always begins around 6 pm. Day 1 6 pm Tishri 14 to 6 pm Tishri 15 Day 2 6 pm Tishri 15 to 6 pm Tishri 16 Day 3 6 pm Tishri 16 to 6 pm Tishri 17 Half day 6 pm Tishri 17 to 6 am Tishri 18 The resurrection of two witnesses shall take place in the morning of Tishri 18. Second woe shall also take place at the same time. Make my long story short, the two witnesses ministry shall end on Tishri 15. 3.5 days later, their resurrection shall take place in the morning of Tishri 18. This timeline also makes sense with the traditional Jewish belief that their Elijah shall appear on Passover. Adding 1260 days to Passover always comes to Tabernacle. So correct me if I'm wrong but if your calculations are true and the 2 witnesses are killed 3.5 years into the trib and this happens around Tishri 15 - 18 which is around middle of September it doesn't seem like the rapture could happen this year since counting backward 3.5 years puts the trib starting in March which we are now past. Am I missing something? Bummer if true. Humble warrior, I believe their ministry shall overlap with the first and second half of tribulation. If rapture does happen this summer, I believe the two witnesses shall begin their ministry on the Passover week in 2020. Their ministry shall end on Tishri 15 2023. And 3.5 days later, they shall ascend to heaven in the morning of Tishri 18. Just as John the Baptist who was the last O.T. prophet saw the messiah and lived into the N.T times. TR 2nd Coming: I guess my only problem with that is then the 1260 days that they minister would be a different 1260 days than either the 1st half or 2nd half of the trib. It seems to me it's pretty clear that the 1260 days that the woman (Israel) is protected in the Wilderness is the 2nd half of the trib. So you're saying that the 1260 day ministry of the two witnesses actually overlaps the 1260 days when Israel is pursued by the dragon into the wilderness? Then that would beg the question why would the 2 witnesses continue on after Israel is fleeing to the wilderness. Not trying to be argumentative just trying to understand. I always thought the abomination of desolation and the killing of the 2 witnesses happened almost simultaneously ushering in the 2nd half of the trib. The 1260 days mentioned a few times in Revelation seems to point to the 1st half or the 2nd half so it doesn't make much since to me that God would introduce a 3rd 1260 day period that overlapped the other 2. Just an observation. Humble Warrior, to answer your question, we need to corporate the 390 days of besiege on Jerusalem in Ezekiel 4. While in the middle of tribulation, AC breaks the covenant and invades Jerusalem, the two witnesses shall defend the city for 390 days. But after 390 days of siege on Jerusalem, the wall shall breach and they both are killed. These 390 days go beyond the first half of tribulation. And this is why their ministry overlaps the first and second half of tribulation. And because of these 390 days of siege,the woman can then be given two wings of eagle, and fly into the wilderness where she is nourished for a time, times, and half time. Some countries shall lend hand to the Jews and fly them out of this war zone.
