In 1936 Hitler took the Rhineland; Putin is following those same footsteps:

When you read the history books, you find out what happened in the past, and when you read your King James Bible, you find out what will happen in the future. That’s what Bible prophecy is, it’s future history pre-written in past tense just to blow the minds of unbelievers. So if you are a student of history and a student of the word of God, you are doubly prepared to know what’s going on and playing out in the headlines with Russia and Ukraine.

So for you students out there, here’s some fun facts for you to chew on. On November 9 to November 10, 1938, in an incident known as “Kristallnacht”, Nazis in Germany torched synagogues, vandalized Jewish homes, schools and businesses and killed close to 100 Jews. In the aftermath of Kristallnacht, also called the “Night of Broken Glass,” some 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and sent to Nazi concentration camps. So the official start of the Nazi persecution of the Jews began in 1938, and it ended when WWII ended on September 2, 1945. How many years was that? 7 years. How long is the coming time of Jacob’s trouble? 7 years, but I’m sure that’s just a coincidence. Did you further know that when WWII ended, it resulted with the Jews being stunningly restored to the land of Israel? Does that sound like anything to you? It sounds exactly like what will happen to the Jews at the Second Coming when they are restored to Israel under the rule of King Jesus Christ, after the days of the Great Tribulation. Are you awake yet?

We were able to find out that a missionary friend of ours did post on FB around 4 pm EST — please keep the church in Ukraine in prayers, they will be under persecution as Puttin pushes the Russian Orthodox Church as the national allowed and licensed church. My heart breaks for all of our friends in both Ukraine and Belarus — I have had to remind myself all day, God reigns and He is still in control. As one of our friends in Belarus, Pastor Peter said to me … the church only grows under persecution, remember to pray for us when this comes as it will. :prayer-hands:

Thank you, Susan.

So far, the situation is calm. I am in the west of the country. I no longer live in the capital, but in a small town. According to the media, 7.5 thousand refugees have crossed the eastern border so far. In front of the border there are whole columns of cars and even mothers with small children on foot. Private persons offer accommodation. Dormitories and other buildings are ready to provide accommodation. Women, children and the elderly are coming because men between the ages of 18 and 60 have to stay in Ukraine.

Russia-Ukraine: Anti-war protests continue in Moscow, St Petersburg, prominent Russian celebrities join:

Protests in Russia continued during the second day of Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine, with prominent Russians joining in major cities across the country.

Russian authorities arrested over 1,700 individuals Thursday as citizens took to the streets of Moscow, St. Petersburg and other major cities to denounce the invasion of Ukraine and demand an end to hostilities, according to OVD Info, an independent organization monitoring political persecutions.

But if Putin’s plan was to end the protests and deter further ones from popping up, he has failed miserably: Fresh protests started Friday, with prominent Russians in the entertainment and business sectors joining at great personal and financial risk. A further 150 or so people were arrested Friday.

Civilian hiding in bomb shelter says Russians soldiers are getting 'clobbered';
The Ukraine resident says Russia 'has no chance' in taking over:

A civilian hiding in a bomb shelter said on Friday that Russia has no chance in taking over Ukraine.

"I can tell you that I am here with an awful lot – a group of really angry people. They believe that if he occupies the country, then he has another thing coming for him. Apparently, according to official stats, there have been 2,800 Russian troops killed in Ukraine just today," Mychailo Wynnyckyj, associate professor at National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, told "The Story w/ Martha McCallum" on Friday.

Wynnyckyj's comments came after a report emerged that Russian military forces have not made the kinds of gains they expected in Ukraine. Russian forces have faced more resistance than anticipated from Ukrainian forces, according to a senior U.S. defense official.

After two days of war, Ukrainian command and control is still intact, and no population centers have been taken. And Russia has yet to achieve air superiority, with Ukraine’s air and missile defense capability still working, though degraded, the defense official told reporters Friday.

"The Russians have lost a little bit of their momentum," the defense official told reporters, speaking on background.  The official added, "In general we assess the Russian forces are encountering greater resistance than they expected."

Despite Ukraine’s effort in warding off Russian forces, they need the United States’ help.  "We desperately need air support. We desperately need a no-fly zone in this country … we are asking Americans to help us with that," he continued. "But you know what? If we get a no-fly zone, we will be able to handle things on our own over here. Because these Russians have absolutely no chance of doing anything in this country."

[And yet, there is this contradictory news]

Ukrainian President Zelensky asks Russian President Putin to negotiate terms to stop the dying in Ukraine:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked Russian President Vladimir Putin for negotiations to “stop the dying” as Russian forces strike the country’s capital city of Kyiv. “Let us sit down at the negotiating table in order to stop the dying,” he said in a video address on Friday, according to a translation from the New York Times.

And from Amir Tsarfati:

Ukraine’s leader asks Bennett to mediate with Russia, host talks in Jerusalem.

In a later post from Amir:

A spokesman for Ukraine’s President “Kiev is ready for ceasefire talks”
