Bought a house a year and a half ago! Planted a tree in my front yard, immediately my neighbors took offence and balked that I planted a quaking aspen! Till then we fostered a good neighbor policy. Once I adopted the attitude, oh well it's planted now their attitude became hostile and anal! They neither believe in God nor wanted to hear of him! A sad commentary on the world's prevailing spirit! TR Seems an odd thing to get up in arms about. Do you talk to your neighbors about God? If so, then perhaps they are using any excuse to cast stones. I planted an October Beauty maple in my yard this year and have received lots of positive feedback and we have strict covenants here. My sprinkler once cast water droplets on his car, and he became livid! A month after moving in I broached the topic of God and was immediately shut down! Refusing now to cast my Pearl's before swine! The spirit that influences them is keenly aware of the Spirit that influences me. yes, i've found recently that people -especially those working out in public- seem to be truly surprised and delighted by any hint of kindness...my guess is because they rarely experience it anymore it's a sad, scared and angry world without Jesus
