I saw the movie this weekend. It was a great experience for me because I was a member of Calvary Chapel when I lived in California and I had attended a few Harvest Crusades and worked one of them praying for people on the field as they came down to accept Jesus. It was a truly special experience and this movie felt a little bit personal. Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus in The Chosen, played the part of Lonnie Frisbee and there was a cameo appearance by Paras Patel who plays Matthew in The Chosen. All in all I recommend it. Would love to see it, but managing theaters for many Seniors is not easy. Yay so glad to see the movie is doing so well … over here they are extending the viewing. I’m thinking about seeing it again this weekend if the weather behaves. The matinees are only $5.00 … it cost more for their overpriced snacks and drinks. Have any of you tried to sneak snacks or drinks in? Its confession time. B-) :bye: I stuffed my purse with a large gourmet chocolate chip cookie and a bag of raspberry/blackberry gummies that I purchased from Walmart and a bottled water and … no that was it. But some smuggled in pizza slices and McD orders. :mdrmdr: There are no ushers or high tech security at this place … cause this is the country. So do any of you have special cargo pants you wear or a jacket with lots of inside pockets dedicated for the movies? B-) Or how about the .. Or the arm sling or fake cast injury? - Fair Use - I stopped getting snacks and drinks because I usually finish them before the movie even starts.
