Thanks, Blue!  Lots of interesting information in your post.

"Daniel's Seven Weeks:
Nisan 1 this year marks the completion of seven Sabbatical weeks since the 1967 restoration of
Jerusalem to the Jews. This is significant because Daniel’s Weeks Prophecy says Messiah will appear “seven weeks” after Jerusalem is restored."  I have never before heard this idea that the "weeks" would be sabbatical weeks.

And, the Israelis also consider 2022 to be a Jubilee year.
Everything all lines up!  I hope he is correct!  Nissan 1 will be April 2nd, 2022.

There is so much more in the T.W. Tramm post.  I encourage everyone to read it.

Thanks, Blue. A very interesting article.

TW Tramm references 2022 being a Jubilee year. That very well could be. I have been looking into 2029 as a potential Jubilee year candidate, as well.

Josephus wrote that 23-22 BC was a Jubilee year. If that is true then 28-29 AD would be a Jubilee year. Well, that is if you count off Jubilee cycles by 50 year increments.

If so, then 2028-2029 would be the 40th Jubilee cycle and 2,000 year.

It would make a certain amount of sense for Yeshua to return in a Jubilee year. ^^

What about Jesus declaring Himself to be the Jubilee at the beginning of His ministry.  Maybe this is when Jubilees should be counted from.

That's a possibility, too.

In that case, that would mean Yeshua started His ministry in 28 AD.

When He read from the scroll of Isaiah, chapter 61, perhaps He was proclaiming a Jubilee year.

Jubilee cycles are 49 years long.  The "50th" year celebration is halfway into the first year of the next cycle.  Jubilee cycles not 50 years long.  So what cycle are we in, and when's the next celebration?

If it was 23 BCE, and excluding year zero would make this year 2022, i.e., 2044 years later, equaling 2044/49=41.7142 Jubilee cycles since the alleged Josephus' statement.  It's now 2022, and if so we would be 0.7142 x 49 = 35 years into the current jubilee cycle.

And so, (oh shudder and moan!!), there would be 14 more years until the 42nd Jubilee. :calvin  Cry  :stinkerbell:

Can't be! :negative:

I think it is easier to count every 50 years. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7 (Sabbatical year)

1 sabbatical week...2...3...4...5...6...7th Sabbatical week) 49 years.

Then Jubilee in the 50th year.

Then start again.

I know that there is a debate on this whether the Jubilee cycle should be 49 years or 50 years long. IMHO, I think 50 years makes more sense. Mind you, I am a bear of small brain... ?...so I could be wrong. 😛

Also, 6,000 years of human history (+1,000 for the Millenium) would be 120 Jubilee cycles of 50 years. That wouldn't work with 49 year cycles.
