:bye:  … would that be … William Wallace .. FREEDOM !

Tammie, your heritage is so interesting between both the Hatfields and the McCoy’s to the Scottish fighters that also made history.

In regards to the footwear …

I’ve been thinking of Charlie Garrett with his wish to be barefooted 24/7.  If we are required to wear sandals in heaven … perhaps in the crowd … he will simply take them off and be found holding them?  :mdrmdr:

I have lots of Scottish blood, myself. On the losing end of the feuds, IIRC.

Well, all over the British Isles and Scandinavia. Scotland, Isle of Man, England, Wales, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark with a bit of Germanic Europe thrown in.

I'm about as WASP as they get. Lol.

Yes, that’s his name, I remember the freedom fighting thing, I think he lost his head or something to that effect   but that is my Son-in-law. His family is very proud and celebrative of their heritage, they have the kilts and gear to boot, my daughter was just given her official outfit in 2019 from his grandmother.
Me, I just say mutt— my family tree is all over the place. Had my DNA done once and it’s even screwery still. Apparently I have aborigines as well, who knew, (must have come from the German land owner/traders) and I thought it was just the Indian that made me brown up in summer, but I guess I get the shortness from that DNA :mdrmdr: —- not sure if I trust those things to be true either. :calvin

That would be my grandkids too! After so many generations, I think we are all a heavy mixture of nationalities. But the holding point for us is our God DNA and that was bought with His sacrifice, can’t change that one, no matter how many cultures you have listed on the family tree. His image is perfected in His children.
I wonder if he’ll divide us up as nations? That would be complicated for me as I’m European (German/Irish) and Native American, with a touch of Aussi native (Aborigines). It is going to be so exciting to find out.

Geri - I vote shoeless! I love being barefoot and in sand or grass, makes no difference to me.
Jesus did have sandals on after the resurrection. Ever think about he had on his new robe, but not the shinny one as they didn’t see that until he went up from them. Maybe we will be able to change our appearance too. :prayer-hands:

In light of the scope and nature of prophets and prophecy as well as overwhelming bible precedent in both word and shadow, God’s character and heart regarding this issue has been made more than plain!

Yet the lack of interest in exploring this assuring and positive possibility continues to fall on deaf ears!  WOW!

I believe we will be able to change our appearance of clothing … we will probably still have choices of our nationality of conservative clothing to wear.  I look back at that angelic conversation I had in the hospital elevator in May 2011.  He was wearing plaid shorts, red golf short sleeve shirt and had leather Docker boat shoes on … no socks.  Where did the angel get those clothes and footwear from?  There hast to be a wardrobe up in heaven.

I don’t believe we will change from being female to male or vice versa  that sounds like transgenderism to me :negative:

All the angels that appear to believers are always males.  For the unsaved though … if they see female angels, my take is they are demons or the devil himself … appearing as the “angel of light”.

“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” II Corinthians 11:14

True, the angel that came to my rescue long ago was male in appearance and had on “Normal” church attire as it was at the end of a church service …. The first time, it was a male appearance “kind of” — it was not light enough to see …. In a robe and I only remember seeing the upper body as I was lying down. A lot of peace and calm surrounding both events. I hope to thank them when I get to heaven! :good:
