Sometimes I wonder if the 2000 years is supposed to start from the time Jesus started His ministry as opposed to His resurrection? When He read from the scripture in Isaiah, he stated that scripture was fulfilled that day.....and as Jesus preached many were brought to salvation by faith in Jesus alone, even before His death and resurrection. So I wonder if the 2000year/2 day fulfillment is accomplished from the start of ministry forward? Just thinking out loud.

I do believe that it is certainly probable that we do not have the calendar right.

I also believe that I can't imaging our life, economy etc going on with "basic normality" for 4 more years. Like you Lee, I thought the rapture would be years ago, but that was almost more with wishful and creative figuring.... now we actually have very real signs and shadows of the coming tribulation.....I don't think we have years, hopeful that it is months or less....but of course I could be wrong, but praying otherwise. :prayer-hands:

I agree Churchgal. Years ago, we had too much wishful thinking. Now it's like we are almost in the tribulation.

That's definitely a strong possibility Churchgal. The 2,000 years could be from the time Yeshua/Jesus read from Isaiah 61 in the synagogue. That would be around 27-28 AD, IMHO.

I also agree that our calendars could be off by as much as 2 years. So the Rapture could be literally any day. So, no man truly knows the day or the hour. Only God. Imminency is preserved.

Even if we assume our calendars are correct and that this really is the year 2022, IMHO, I believe 2025 would be the absolute latest year for the Rapture (2032 - 7) or more likely 2023. (2030 - 7)

This year is a very strong possibility for the Rapture, though. :good:

Ditto!

Imminency lives, and He is near!

His grace is sufficient till then!

Speaking of calendars, by my calendar, He is late!  But what do I know!

It will make it easier to find each other at the banquet table!

I'm not so sure, Todd.  I'm not going to look like this any more at the banquet.  I'll be disappointed if I don't look young again up there.  I didn't look like this forty years ago when I had a young-ish mature body.  I suspect a game of name tag switch at the RITA gathering might be fun.

i think along the lines of churchgal, the count beginning at the start of Jesus' ministry, because of the priests setting out ahead, crossing the Jordan about 2000 cubits ahead of the people of Israel. what was that all about? maybe a foreshadow of Jesus our high priest leading the way to the promised land, about 2000 years ahead of when the rest of Israel will follow Him.

Good read!   I just cannot see us being here into 2023.  The first domino could fall anytime. :yahoo:
