Thanks. Not to change the subject, but ... I don't know about a timeline; I've been thinking about menu plans. Bob hasn't had any teeth for several years, and I have a broken one that prevents chewing normally. Once we're free to roam on our own, 1) breakfast (scrambled eggs with cheese, biscuits and gravy), 2) chef salad, 3) party at a big Steak N Shake in the sky (as the song says, Somebody give me a Cheeseburger!), 4) Our friend Sue will fry chicken for everybody, 5) Bob and I will make Hammies (mini sandwiches) for your lovely tea party. Y'all Come!
oooh la la all that food sounds oh soooo fine! for the tea jamboree parties! I can’t wait … they will be a blast with GREAT food and fellowship.
Anybody brave today with using your stove and cooking your last meals? I was afraid to use it earlier not knowing the timeline agenda so keeping it simple with cold Frosted Flakes cereal this morning. But now I’m dying for pizza … I got the mozzarella cheese and sauce and French bread so I think I’m going to chance it and quickly bake some right now. I also changed all my batteries in the fire alarms (6) and said hopefully this is last time ever again doing this. I also prepaid my electric bill up to June 2024 that way there will be electricity still for some left behind who breaks in and needs a place. But then … if there is an electric power grid shut down … then that is out of my hands …
So what’s everyone else doing? Deep cleaning and perhaps saying goodbye to your earthly home?
@geri9Deep cleaning and perhaps saying goodbye to your earthly home?
I had a new washing machine delivered today since the old one decided to die and before the delivery guy left he turned it on to run a load of water. As it was running I had to go down to the basement and I noticed it was starting to flood from the washing machine. When they hooked it up they messed up the water line and now I have a mess to clean up and a spigot to fix. Nope! Not saying goodbye. Would prefer to say good riddance! I hate doing plumbing work.
Nah, I'm not worried about what happens to my stuff after I'm gone. If God wants my house to burn to the ground and everything in it then so be it. If He doesn't then He will guide me not to do certain things that may bring that about. Trying to work against the will of God is like trying to swim up Niagara Falls. It's just not possible. So I am not concerning myself with those things. Pizza sounds GREAT! I think I'll make one right now.
True … before all the seals are broken (6th seal I think is … “every island and mountain” will be moved out of place) … that is going to cause major land shifting and destruction … my place is surrounded by mountains on all sides So I’m not going to kill myself with the white gloving the dust. I just finished washing dishes though.
Yikes! So sorry to hear about the new washing machine flooding. Goes to show they don’t train the delivery installers like they used to. I think these calamities happen in every state … last year my brother bought a new washer and dryer and dishwasher at the same time and said he will install everything himself … he didn’t want any “issues”. I just thought he was being picky but obviously he avoided the unwanted “inside swimming pool”.
