I don't want topical preaching that only sprinkles a few verses in here an there so they can call it "preaching". Give me good old fashioned expository teaching. Maybe I'm old - but I miss the days BEFORE going to church was like attending a concert and hearing feel good message about prosperity, or "its ok if you sin a little bit, everyone does." I so look forward to going home where all of this will be but a distant memory, and 10,000 years from now forgotten. Same here, Todd. And add to that churches whose sermons are just so basic. Nothing but infant milk. So I end up listening to a lot of J. Vernon McGee's CDs. I want something that is going to make a spiritual difference in my life. Something that helps me grow closer to God.
