Not sure about that. Obviously, I would prefer Spring. ?️ ? ❤️ ?? ? ? ⬆️ ☁️ ? :yahoo:

Well, if there is a gap between the Rapture and the start of the Tribulation then these things line up pretty well. I am inclined to say that there will be little to no gap, IMHO, however.

Time will tell. Hoping to be an April Fool for the Lord. :good:

In considering this, I want to make an observation.

We have been getting all excited for years as we get these reports of a red heifer candidate and I think we are right to do so, but I always consider when they find “one or two” white hairs if that’s what God really meant by pure red in the first place anyway.

I think if any normal person reading the Torah saw one of these heifers with “one or two” white hairs that if someone asked us, “what color is that cow?”  Well duh, no brainer - its red.  But we get the whole “it has to be red in accordance with halacha (Jewish law) thing” from the interpretation of the orthodox rabbis. I ask myself is that the law of the Torah as given by Moses or is it the law of the scribes and Pharisees as interpreted by the oral law and codified in the Talmud?

Often this type of law adds to the actual law given to Moses and again I go back to how do we interpret red?  And how did God mean it to be interpreted in simplicity when He wrote it?  Deuteronomy 30:11-14 shows us that the Torah was never supposed to be mysterious and hard to interpret and keep - it was supposed to be simple enough for a child to understand, yet obviously our problem is not with understanding it in it’s simplicity, our problem is not being able to keep it in its simplicity in our fallen flesh suit, but I digress.  I keep black angus cows and I can tell you that if I see one of them in the field I am not close enough to to see one or two white hairs and I would simply say, that there is a black cow.  I think the rabbis often over complicate the simplicity of God’s commands.

Having said all of that, I wonder if all of the candidates for the red heifer heretofore have been frustrated by God as a testimony against the Talmudic interpretation of the Torah and perhaps this will lead to another deception.  I wonder if this will be another “miracle” of the Antichrist that in addition to providing a solution that will facilitate the building of the Third temple as many of us speculate that he will, perhaps he will also “miraculously” present them a “true” red heifer according to Talmudic Halacha as well?

Welcome Derrick!  I agree, meticulous in minutia yet still forsaking the messiah!

Welcome Derrick. What you said makes a lot of sense. The Talmudic Rabbis are, uhhh... literally splitting hairs on the subject. 😉

BTW, I like your name. :good:

Derek: this is the WAY. Walk in it.

Jun 17, 2018hebrewwordlessons

Derek: Way. Strong’s 1870

Root: דֶּ֖רֶךְ dalet/resh/kaf

Sounds like: de-rek

The word derek means a path or a way. It is often represented just as it sounds within the Tenakh, as in someone casually strolling down a path or road. But there is also great emphasis on a singular path that YHWH has laid out for all who follow Him.

By the time of the early church, after Yeshua’s (Jesus’s) death and subsequent resurrection, followers of the risen Yeshua became known as followers of The Way (Acts 19:9, Acts 24:14, 22). But what is The Way? What is this path we are supposed to tread upon?

Thank you very much all for all the warm welcomes!  I actually used to post on the old RITAN site years ago (circa 2011-2015) under a more anonymous name.

I remember many of you fondly - credit to Arthur however, it was his post a couple weeks ago about the 6000 year calculation that led me to get off my blessed assurance and sign up to be able to comment again.  I had responded to his letter on fivedoves but then I thought of a couple more things that I wanted to reply so I thought I should just create a new account on RITAN since my old account info never made it to the new site.

Sadly, by the time my account was approved to be able to post - I forgot what else I wanted to say!

Also, Arthur about my name….. Thank you, it certainly was not what my parents were thinking when they named me.  There is actually a very funny story about a guy named “Derek” who was in the Navy with my dad, but there were stories about him that my mom found contemptible so she didn’t like the name - so the “Derrick” spelling was the compromise lol.  I started studying Hebrew in my 20s and I was pleasantly surprised to learn my name had some meaning and a good one at that - it would have turned out a lot worse if my name turned out to be the Hebrew word for ugly or dung or something like that lol!

Well, I am glad that my thread/post inspired you to re-join. God works in mysterious ways. :good:

Yeah, the Hebrew meaning of your name is quite pleasant. My pastor wrote a book called Derek Yeshua. The way of Yeshua or the way of Jesus. Smile
I also look forward to Yeshua giving us all a new name.

Revelation 2:17

New King James Version

17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” ’
