📢 Forum Update - Hello everyone! I've made an improvement to the forum that should make following active discussions much easier. Beginning today, forum topics will display the most recent replies first (while keeping the original topic post at the top), so you no longer have to navigate through multiple pages to find the latest conversation. This change also helps improve the browsing experience in long-running discussions with many pages of replies. If you notice anything that doesn't seem to be working correctly or have any feedback, please let me know. — Richard G. Last year, I was able to get myself to do something that I find so scary. Now I do it without care. I am pretty comfortable with it. I have one more fear that I am trying to overcome. I am trying to do it soon. Please pray that I can do it and not find it traumatic. Thank you so much Geri. I did not notice that specifically prayer for wisdom and guidance, it's just between you and God. That was not my reason for attending the study. I was trying to connect with people at the new church. Heidi, Not sure if you tried this method yet or just been going to group prayer meetings thinking if more people pray … you will get your results? I recall when my dad needed “wisdom and guidance” he had personal devotions first and then prayed specifically for guidance in what to do/asked for wisdom … its a personal prayer one-on-one with God. Then he slept on it and by morning time he usually had his answer … if he had a peace about it … then he proceeded … if he still felt unsure/had doubts … he quickly got out of that deal. This verse promises the Lord will give us wisdom … if we ask … but notice the way to go about it … its NOT in a group prayer meeting with others … James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Frankly, anything with less talk, works for me. 🙂 Heidi, maybe it would be a good and most beneficial thing, to consider laying all those interactive groups aside, because they don’t fulfill you. They fail you Thank you so much Kolleen. I was worried that someone might respond to my post talking about the importance of Bible studies.................. thank you for understanding. Yes, they don't fulfill me at all. Most of the times, I felt heaviness, grief and all sorts of negative emotions. I don't even care about attending church services anymore, even with churches who preach the Bible. there are things that I am not liking there either. I prefer to be busy helping in soup kitchens, food banks, ..............any kind of work were you are helping the needy and with less talk. I will look into stuff like that.
