And Paul and the other apostles make it clear in the end times we will see this apostasy happen and know that the rapture is near. But in the context of 2 Thess 2:3 and the whole passage of 2 Thess 2:1-8, "apostasy" or "falling away" can have another meaning and that is a departure. And it is departure in this context Paul may be referring to the departure of the restrainer, the Holy Spirit and the church with Him. There is no doubt that Holthaus is correct in the terrible departure and perversion from God's word that we are seeing in these last days. But I believe in sticking to the context of passages, and I think Paul is using the word "falling away" or "apostasy" is referring to the departure of the Holy Spirit, along with the church, which would open the door for the antichrist. I know there are different opinions on this and I am not looking for an argument; just my understanding. I agree with you. I believe the first 6 English translations (before the KJV) had it translated as departure rather than falling away. Therefore, it is saying that the Antichrist cannot be revealed until the Rapture happens. Pretty clear that the Rapture is Pre Trib from that. There certainly is apostasy happening, as well. I can't remember the percentage of professing Christians who actually said that Jesus wasn't the only Way but it was quite high. This is elementary/foundational things that people can't get straight. :negative: Here's a couple of recent teachings by Dr. Barry Awe which I thought were both good and encouraging for a 2021 Rapture.
