Todd, I would agree with you. Our peace comes from the Father … man can destroy the body but our soul is eternally secure in the hands of the Father. As martyrs have experienced, so may some of us, not everyone is given the privilege to walk that road. It does not bring a sense of comfort to think that I may have to “offer up my body to be burned …. as proclaimed in I Corinthians 13 but I have a peace that this momentary affliction is preparing a future far more magnificent than I can imagine. Praying consistently that the call of God to come up here would occur at any moment …. this world is distracting and has grown old, wasting away in it’s burden of corruption. :prayer-hands: Well said by one and all!
