Regardless of whatever promises or threats that may be hurled at us, regardless the source!

We should never pander or propigate fear!  For fear is not an answer!  But simply a response!

Fear is a lack of faith.

For the past 40 years I've had the sense of peace knowing that the "worst" case scenario (from the non-believer's perspective) is I get to go to Heaven.   Those in the world think the end is it - so why not do whatever we want.  For us its only the beginning.    A million million years from now this place will be less than a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of time.   Today it seems like an eternity dwelling in this cesspool of a world.   Reading articles like the news crews in San Francisco just makes me hope that we're out of here soon....

I feel the same way, Todd. No matter what happens, Heaven awaits me and so I just want to get on with it. There is nothing in this world for me. Nothing that I want. I am and have been so ready to leave this place. And the sooner the better. I find it difficult to witness to people because no one wants to hear it so why am I still here? The waiting is rather annoying at this point.

Yeah, it's a win/win situation for us believers. If we live on this earth then we can do good works and glorify our Father in heaven. If we die, we go to be with Almighty God for eternity and we glorify Him by what He did for us. (Our Salvation bought and paid for by our precious Saviour.)

While I yearn to be in heaven, I know that the Rapture will happen at the perfect time. Until then, His grace is sufficient for me. Smile
Let's keep running that race, exhorting one another. :good:

Todd, I would agree with you. Our peace comes from the Father … man can destroy the body but our soul is eternally secure in the hands of the Father. As martyrs have experienced, so may some of us, not everyone is given the privilege to walk that road. It does not bring a sense of comfort to think that I may have to “offer up my body to be burned …. as proclaimed in I Corinthians 13 but I have a peace that this momentary affliction is preparing a future far more magnificent than I can imagine.

Praying consistently that the call of God to come up here would occur at any moment …. this world is distracting and has grown old, wasting away in it’s burden of corruption. :prayer-hands:

Well said by one and all!

Looking at what lies before us, will soon make what we have gone through, a distant and fading memory!

:mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr:  I am so with you brother!!! I was even doing some child like whining to the Lord about it the other day.....why are we still here? how much longer? I wanna go home!  ......I could almost feel the Lord responding like a parent and saying, "sit back in your seat and stop crying or I will give you something to cry about!" :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr:

:mdrmdr: That is too funny! I’m sure we’ve all whined to the Lord about this. I know I have. And I’m sure we’ll all understand the delay once we get there but in the mean time it’s frustrating.
