As a foreshadow of resurrection when graves were opened of saints long dead, pets were not included! Your mincing of words to justify an long standing emotional state does'nt square with doctrinal truth! Should we love Angel's or demons also! Defining love can be subjective, but not with God! These are hard sayings I know, attacking long held belief systems! We are to simply regard and give thanks for all that God has created, but love never! Nowhere in scripture is this ever supported!!! TR I agree, having a pet is very comforting and restful, they accept you as you are. I have had several fur friends, mostly large dogs, one Dane, one Collie, two Shepards and then one small mix breed (not even sure what all he was) … haven’t had one in a few decades because we traveled so much, now I have thoughts of getting another one once our house Reno is completed, but I am so hopeful to leave for our heavenly flight that it is a difficult decision. Enjoy your little chew monster. Sadly, this is a very widespread sacred cow! Just trying to expose biblical truth and understanding! For those who cannot release their pets, I am hoping this won't diminish anyone's love for God! But many have set ultimatums before lo ing God! Biblical truth? I think you are throwing your net over too broad a swath. While some people may take this to the extreme you are also making accusations against some strong Christians who have carried the cross of faith for 50+ years, myself included. You do not know the depth of my heart and to stand in judgement of me puts you on a very slippery slope with God. Here’s some Biblical truth: Judge not lest ye be judged. Never meant to be accusatory, just expisitional! I'm done with the topic! TR
