I need a prayer. I don't want to say much. God knows, but sometimes I feel that I can't take it anymore and the pain is overwhelming. thank you everyone. I also have been hurt by Christians recently (and a lot of other times in my life) I had a nightmare, I don't remember everything, but around the end of it a Christian had to sign a document and put a big book on my back and was signing away while my back was hurting. I shook him off and started shouting at him for not being concerned about my back. He was totally unconcerned, then another Christian said mean stuff to me and I started shouting at him. My voice got hoarse, I was trying to shout and no words were coming out anymore. It was a bit scary. I woke up and just jumped out of bed. Praying for you Heidi for the peace that passes all understanding and the overwhelming love that will heal all of the hurts in your life. The deepest wounds are the ones given by a friend or by another who calls themselves by the name of Christ. Jesus knew the feeling too, the prophecy was written about Him: “Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.” I have been hurt in the past in a similar way, but we have to remember no matter how bad the hurt it does not mean Jesus love for us is any less true, and also the harder truth to accept is that He even loves the one who causes the offense too. Rest in His love dear sister, be comforted by your brothers and sisters on this forum who do care for you and are taking the time to pray and write their responses to you, and release those who have hurt you knowing that although you are called to love them with Christ’s love and forgive their actions you don’t have to associate with them and because of this they cannot continue to hurt you. Jesus will deal with them in His own way and in His time, and in the meantime, allow Him to bring your heart rest, peace and healing. Thank you for confirming that I will love and forgive them but not have to associate with them and allow them to hurt me anymore. I needed that confirmation. someone was very cruel to me a few days ago, I was a bit shocked by his behavior. I wanted to send him an email about his cruel behavior, how he made me feel, forgive him and also tell him I am going to block him. I hesitated about blocking him. I thought maybe I would just not correspond anymore and if he does, I will keep my answers very short. thank you ??
