Thank you Geri, Kolleen, TR, Yohanan,  Gratefulforgrace, Susan

Thank you very much for sharing Gratefulforgrace

I am really upset with all the people who discouraged me. Legal Shield went on about employers being able to mandate a vax. An attorney even went on a rant that was very distressing (how you won't be able to do anything in Canada anymore without the vax and the courts will back it up)  I was horrified by what he said. he was really rough and rude.

I spoke to an attorney through Lawyer Referral Service. he was not friendly either and said employers can mandate.

My manager couldn't stop going on about how you can't do anything without a vax anymore.

I ended up not being able to do anything because of the anxiety. I did not immediately start looking for other work or undertaking anything because of worrying about hearing that I won't be able to do this or that without the vax.

It is not fair the way people have been talking and causing distress to others.

In the last few days,  I have seen job postings with no mention of the vax.

I ran some errands today, including finally sending the Notice of Liability to the HR director by registered mail.

I also bought a computer mouse, I was using the keypad and could not get much done through that. I will apply for other jobs and check with employment agencies.

I will also check virtual shoppers

I might still need to go ahead with DD to get some money sooner.

I will mention something good that happened a couple of days ago.

The colleague who is on unpaid leave asked me to come over to her place when we had to go in to hand in our equipment.

she said to get there around  6 pm and that she will text me her address. she called me around 2 and told me we will have dinner together, she told me what she has cooked for dinner. She said it is not too much, just a main dish and a salad. she also made dessert. I thought that is definitely "much", however, I smiled remembering that she is Jordanian. Middle Easterns usually throw a feast. anything less than that is "not much"

Her place is lovely. she likes dim lights which is also what I like. very relaxing. Her Middle Eastern food was amazing. her husband very nice and hospitable. after dinner she asked if I drink Hazel nut coffee. I don't drink flavored coffee but a previous roommate did. She made me remember the precious times I had living with that roommate. I accepted the Hazelnut coffee and the taste and smell took me back.

then we sat next to each other and she showed me how to write ads and connect with people on facebook.

I asked her to help me out with that but I wish we could have just enjoyed other conversation as we had our coffee.

it was nice to be relaxed, no masks, no silliness..................... in somebody else's house having a nice, quiet evening without a fuss about stupid C19 or taking any precautions (or simply not being together)

precious evening.

I am sorry to hear your first day was so stressful, Heidi. I've had first days of employment like that before.

Praying that God will open doors for you and have you meet people that will assist you. :prayer-hands:
