This song is incredibly powerful.  Those of  you who saw the movie "Fireproof" will remember it.  It's called While I'm Waiting  by John Waller.  In the movie, it refers to a badly broken, barely surviving marriage and the husband's attempt to wait upon the Lord as he seeks to restore his relationship with his wife.  (I can relate way too much to it in that regard.)

However, as I listened to it today and wept, I saw it in a very different light.  Someone had posted this out on the RITAN Facebook site today and I just listened to it several times out there.  It impacted me so strongly that I copied and pasted the link over here as well.  Listen to the lyrics and see if they don't speak to your heart and spirit from the perspective of our waiting for our Blessed Hope, the Lord's return in the air for His Bride.  Each of us has our own burden to carry in this life...with pain, suffering and sorrow the depths of which only the Lord Himself fully knows and understands.  And in the midst of it all, we are waiting for our Savior to come for us.  And we know, for certain, that He will, for He who promised is faithful!!!  Hallelujah and maranatha!!!

Grab a box of kleenex.  If your heart is anywhere near the place mine is, you're going to need them.

Again, herein is the patience of the saints who watch and wait!  Having no doubt that He is Faithful and True who has promised to return!

Our patience stands upon the foundation that the Lord is presently moving on hearts and orchestrating His sovereign will!

Lastly, our patience speaks of simply trusting in the Lord!

Heard it during the movie but you are right, I just closed my eyes to not be distracted by the video and listened to the words. I had such a feeling of peace come over me and it came into my mind “it is time” with a sense that we will soon see our blessed redeemer. With tears of peace, I know it’s soon. Thank you Jesus! Come quickly :prayer-hands:
