WASHINGTON – The White House announced on Tuesday that its press team will determine which media members are in the White House press pool rather than the White House Correspondents’ Association, which has long done so. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the major shake-up during Tuesday’s briefing. “As you all know, for decades, a group of DC-based journalists, the White House Correspondents’ Association, has long dictated which journalists get to ask questions of the president of the United States in these most intimate spaces,” she said. “Not anymore.” “I am proud to announce that we are going to give the power back to the people who read your papers, who watch your television shows, and who listen to your radio stations. Moving forward, the White House press pool will be determined by the White House press team,” she added. Some media outlets have labeled protests against the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) as proof voters are against it, but there is reportedly more to the story, according to the Washington Free Beacon. The Beacon detailed further information pertaining to the organizer, identified as Maggie Goldman, saying she does live in McCormick’s district, but adding more of her background: A self-described “Democrat & Political Activist,” Goldman, who did not respond to a request for comment, coordinated volunteers for Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign in 2019 and 2020, according to her LinkedIn. Shortly thereafter, she ran for her local county commission as a Democrat seeking to enact a “more inclusive policy agenda.” Goldman has donated exclusively to Democrats and sent Kamala Harris’s campaign more than $1,500 last year, according to campaign finance records. The Beacon report also said similar protests have happened at other House GOP town halls and district offices, noting, “The demonstrations drove mainstream media coverage of brewing backlash against the Trump administration as the lower chamber left Washington, D.C., for a week-long recess. Well-funded liberal organizations organized many of them.” In addition, the outlet noted that “The George Soros-funded groups Indivisible and MoveOn were at the center of the demonstrations.” A recent survey from the Economist/YouGov found that more Americans view DOGE favorably than unfavorably, per Breitbart News. The report noted that “DOGE has continued to uncover a trove of government waste, providing updates on its website as well as on X.” On his first day in office Joe Biden killed off an estimated 52,100 American jobs. President Trump subsequently released a statement saying Zelensky may return to the White House “when he is ready for Peace.” “We had a very meaningful meeting in the White House today. Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure. It’s amazing what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations,” Trump said in a post to Truth Social. “I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace,” he continued. ...“What kind of diplomacy, JD? We know that you’re wrong,” Vance said. President Donald Trump will sign an executive order making English the official language of the United States. Despite English being the predominant language, the U.S. has never had a national language at the federal level. However, many states have declared English as their official language. The Wall Street Journal was the first to report on the order: The executive order would rescind a federal mandate issued by President Bill Clinton that agencies and other recipients of federal funding are required to provide language assistance to non-English speakers, the officials said. Agencies will still be able to provide documents and services in languages other than English, according to a White House summary of the order viewed by The Wall Street Journal. The summary of the order said the goal of making English the national language is to promote unity, establish efficiency in the government and provide a pathway to civic engagement. Secretary of State Marco Rubio terminated the US’s support for Ukraine’s power grid. The State Department ended a USAID initiative that has given hundreds of millions of dollars to the restoration of Ukraine’s power grid. Pursuing President Trump's vision of a fighting force focused on readiness to wage war, the Pentagon is about to initiate a fast-paced program to ferret out transgender military members and discharge them from the military, according to a memorandum filed in federal court on Wednesday. “Service members who have a current diagnosis or history of, or exhibit symptoms consistent with, gender dysphoria will be processed for separation from military service,” the memo says. The campaign will be carried out in two phases. First, the Pentagon will have 30 days to create a process for identifying and cataloguing every transgender service member. Discharges must commence within the next 30 days. Discharges will be "honorable" unless the individual's record makes a lesser classification appropriate. “The Department only recognizes two sexes: male and female,” the memo adds. “An individual’s sex is immutable, unchanging during a person’s life." The Secret Service is investigating after multiple aircraft violated airspace over Palm Beach on Saturday. Newsmax host Todd Starnes reported on Saturday that three aircraft were escorted out of the area by F-16 fighter jets at 11:05 am, 12:10 pm and 12:50 pm. During two of the intercepts, the fighter jets had to deploy flares, and all three planes were safely escorted out of the restricted airspace. Last month, The Palm Beach Post reported that three airspace violations occurred in February while President Trump was staying at Mar-a-Lago. “A spokesperson for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, confirmed Wednesday that there were three airspace violations of the imposed presidential protected space during Trump’s six-day visit to Mar-a-Lago, his mansion in Palm Beach. Two occurred on Feb. 15 and one on Presidents Day, Feb. 17,” the Palm Beach Post reported last month. There was one key point in the announcement that stuck out: “It also cements the UK as a preferred partner for Ukraine’s energy sector, critical minerals strategy and green steel production.” Although it has yet to be confirmed, some believe that this entire agreement includes Ukraine giving the rights to its minerals to the UK—NOT the US. And this agreement was signed just days before Trump entered office.
