'Secretary of Cost-Cutting': Trump taps Musk for new potential role to slash government waste:

Musk has previously promoted the idea of an efficiency commission.

Former President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that, should he win the presidential election, he plans to tap Elon Musk for a new potential role to significantly reduce government waste.

During an interview on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," the Republican presidential nominee said he hopes to appoint Musk as his "Secretary of Cost-Cutting."

Trump told the news outlet, "He's a great business guy, and he's a great cost-cutter."

According to Trump, Musk told him he could slash government costs "without affecting anybody."

He noted that Musk does not want to be a part of the Cabinet but does want to help eliminate government waste.

"He is dying to do this," Trump said of Musk. "We'll have a new position: Secretary of Cost-Cutting. Elon wants to do that, and we have incredible people. He's running a big business. He can't just say, 'I think I'll go into the Cabinet.' Other people can. He can't, but Elon's a little bit different in that sense."

Musk previously stated that he had slashed the staff at Twitter by approximately 80%.

Musk explained... that government overspending causes inflation.

"Would you agree that we need to take a look at government spending and have, perhaps, a government efficiency commission that just ... tries to make the spending sensible and so that the country lives within its means?" he asked Trump.

Musk advocated for a government efficiency commission "that takes a look at these things and just ensures that the taxpayer money — that taxpayers' hard-earned money — is spent in a good way. And I'd be happy to help out on such a commission."

Sanctuary cities that keep illegal alien criminals on the streets will soon be a thing of the past, Trump promises:

During a women’s town hall with Fox News’ Harris Faulkner on Tuesday, Republican presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump made a vow to voters that he plans to “immediately” end sanctuary jurisdictions if he secures a victory in the upcoming November election.

...Trump responded, “First of all, we are going to end all sanctuary cities immediately.”

Faulkner asked Trump whether he would accomplish that via executive order.

“I could do it with an executive order; I’ll have to do it with an executive order. You can do it with the Aliens Act of 1798,” he responded.

The Alien Act, which was passed in 1798 by the Federalist-controlled Congress, authorizes the sitting president to deport non-citizens.

Trump declared that sanctuary cities are meant to protect only criminals.

“We’re going to end all sanctuary cities in the United States, and we’re going to go back to normalcy. And we’re going to have law and order,” he stated.

FBI covertly changes its crime stats for 2022, revealing Trump was right all along:

The FBI originally claimed violent crime dropped in 2021. It actually went up.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly suggested that crime is far worse than government officials care to admit, particularly in Democrat-run cities.

Democratic operatives and the liberal media have claimed the reverse is true, citing incomplete FBI data indicating a drop in violent crime in the first two years of the Biden-Harris administration.

It appears that Trump was correct when he told Time magazine that the "FBI fudged the numbers" and possibly also when he suggested during the second presidential debate that the FBI data "was a fraud" — just as he appears to have been correct about U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' bogus jobs numbers.

According to the CPRC, with the adjustments, "there is a net increase of 80,029 more violent crimes, 1,699 more murders, 7,780 more rapes, 33,459 more robberies, and 37,091 more aggravated assaults."

"This is why the regime wants to censor 'disinformation and misinformation,'" tweeted Auron MacIntyre, podcast host and columnist at Blaze Media. "Our institutions now lie to us regularly for political gain."

Elon Musk's America PAC wrote, "They want to give you the illusion that cities are safe, but now we know the truth."

..."So the two measures are the FBI's measure of crimes reported to police," continued Lott. "And then there's the Bureau of Justice Statistics measure, called the National Crime Victimization data, which gets a measure of total crime, both reported and unreported. Prior to 2020, these two sets of numbers generally went up and down together. But since 2020, they have been going at opposite directions."

Lott noted that in 2022, for instance, when the FBI originally claimed violent crime dropped by just over 2%, the National Crime Victimization Survey reflected a massive spike in the violent victimization rate — from 16.5 victimizations per 1,000 persons in 2021 to 23.5 per 1,000 in 2022.

Lott said that was the "largest percentage increase that we've ever seen."

While the FBI contends violent crime has fallen under the Biden-Harris administration, the NCVS, which doesn't measure murder, reportedly indicated violent crime jumped 55% between 2020 and 2023.
