I have instructed my Secretary of the US Treasury to stop producing new pennies. Let’s rip the waste out of our great nations budget, even if it’s a penny at a time.” A 2024 report from the United States Mint revealed that it costs roughly “3.7 cents to manufacture and distribute” pennies, according to the outlet. CBS News reported: Pennies are mostly made of zinc, with a copper overlay to give them their distinctive color. While zinc’s price fluctuates from year to year, its cost per metric ton is now double what it was in 2016, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Elon Musk reported early Monday morning that FEMA sent $59 million just last week to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants. According to Musk, sending this money to these high-end hotels violated the law. This directly interferes with President Trump’s executive order. Much less expensive.” In 2023, Biden proposed a rule targeting ceiling fans and Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK) took up a fight against it, according to Breitbart News. Biden’s green energy push did not only affect household appliances. In 2022, he mistakenly announced that the nation’s automakers would be poised to make all of their vehicles electric by the year “3035,” Breitbart News reported. Per the recent Fox report, Republican lawmakers are also taking action in Congress to “derail Biden’s green energy standards for appliances.” FEMA is terminating four employees who circumvented leadership to make payments for migrant housing in a New York hotel, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed. “Effective immediately, FEMA is terminating the employment of four individuals for circumventing leadership to unilaterally make egregious payments for luxury NYC hotels for migrants,” DHS’s Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement, noting that the firings include FEMA’s Chief Financial Officer, two program analysts, as well as a grant specialist. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it would be referring to the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America and changing its data and charts to reflect that change. In a charting notice from the FAA on Monday, the FAA explained that the changes would “be targeted for the next publication cycle.” The FAA added that the re-naming of the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America followed an Executive Order signed by President Donald Trump titled “Restoring Names That Honor American Greatness.”
