And the Democratic Party, the Washington Democrats, have tried to mainstream the extreme.” President Joe Biden commuted the death sentences of 37 of 40 federal inmates on death row on Monday — including cold-blooded murderers who had killed entire families, and predators who had slaughtered innocent children. An illegal alien got-away, previously deported by the Trump administration, is accused of murdering a woman in the New York City subway by setting her on fire. Sebastian Zapeta-Calil, a 33-year-old illegal alien from Guatemala, was arrested by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) on Sunday after being caught on the subway’s surveillance footage allegedly setting a woman on fire and then fanning the flames to burn her alive. Footage of the gruesome attack has circulated widely online. The NYPD has not yet released the identity of the woman. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials confirmed to Fox News’s Bill Melugin that Zapeta-Calil is an illegal alien who is among millions of so-called “got-aways” living in the United States after having successfully crossed the southern border without being detected. According to ICE officials, Zapeta-Calil first crossed the border on June 1, 2018, near Sonoita, Arizona. He was given an order of expedited removal and deported to his native Guatemala six days after crossing. Subsequently, on an unknown date at an unknown location, Zapeta-Calil crossed the border without being detected by Border Patrol agents and ultimately made his way to New York City which has a strict sanctuary jurisdiction policy that vows not to cooperate with ICE agents. Donald Trump has warned that the United States could seize back the Panama Canal unless the country agrees to lower its costs and counter Chinese influence. In a post on Truth Social, the incoming president urged the Panamanian government to start taking care of the canal or face the consequences. Trump later followed up with another post explaining its role preserving America’s economic and national security: The Panama Canal is considered a VITAL National Asset for the United States, due to its critical role to America’s Economy and National Security. A secure Panama Canal is crucial for U.S. Commerce, and rapid deployment of the Navy, from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and drastically cuts shipping times to U.S. ports. The United States is the Number One user of the Canal, with over 70 percent of all transits heading to, or from, U.S. ports. Considered one of the Wonders of the Modern World, the Panama Canal opened for business 110 years ago, and was built at HUGE cost to the United States in lives and treasure – 38,000 American men died from infected mosquitos in the jungles during construction. Teddy Roosevelt was President of the United States at the time of its building, and understood the strength of Naval Power and Trade. When President Jimmy Carter foolishly gave it away, for One Dollar, during his term in Office, it was solely for Panama to manage, not China, or anyone else. It was likewise not given for Panama to charge the United States, its Navy, and corporations, doing business within our Country, exorbitant prices and rates of passage. Our Navy and Commerce have been treated in a very unfair and injudicious way. Kay Granger (R-TX), who has missed votes for months, is reportedly in Texas at a $4,000-per-month assisted living facility. The Dallas Express reported the 81-year-old, who represents Texas’s 12th congressional district, last voted in the House on July 24, and has not voted since. As part of its investigation, the Express found that Granger’s D.C. office phones went directly to voicemail, found no sign her local Texas office was occupied, and ultimately discovered she is a resident at an assisted living facility. Local Republicans have said her absence has denied Texans representation in Congress. “The lack of representation for CD-12 is troubling to say the least. At a time when extraordinarily important votes are happening, including debt ceiling, disaster relief, farm bills and border issues, Kay Granger is nowhere to be found. The margin in Congress is razor thin and the lack of a Republican vote representing CD-12 disenfranchises 2 million people. We deserve better,” Tarrant County Republican Chairman Bo French said in a statement to the Express. The Texas outlet questioned why the public, especially her constituents, have been left in the “dark” about the nature of her absence, why the district has gone without representation, and why she did not retire early. Conservative activist Riley Gaines wrote, “How is it possible that a member of Congress has been MIA for six months, and we’re just now finding out where she was? She hasn’t cast a single vote since JULY 24th. Term. Limits.”
