I love my dog but if my dog and a complete stranger were drowning and I could only save one it would be the stranger. You could make the same argument that we all love the rapture more than we do Jesus because we talk so much about it and long for it with unnatural desires. I agree with you, Yohanan. I don't think anyone on these forums is putting animals before people. It is natural to have compassion on the weak, innocent and vulnerable and that's what most animals are. However, we always have to be on guard against making the Rapture an idol. I have personal experience of people who were more loving to their pets, than towards family members or friends! Have also heard stories of people on fixed incomes feeding their pets steak while they would eat dog food! There can be at times be an imbalance! TR
