Insiders at left-wing cable news network CNN are worried that “it could be the end” for them if Paramount Skydance completes the takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery now that Netflix has bowed out of its bid to purchase WBD. CNN anchor Jake Tapper fretted that the close relationship between Paramount chief David Ellison and President Donald Trump may give the president influence over what happens at Warners-owned CNN, The Wrap reported. “People think it could be the end of CNN,” a staffer told The Wrap. “As much as people say that’s not possible, what’s to say that’s not possible?” “Contracts are coming up, and everybody is confused,” another CNN insider told The Wrap. “What are we signing on to? What is CNN going to be?” The Justice Department has indicted 30 additional people in connection with the January anti-ICE protest at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, bringing the total number of defendants to 39. Nine individuals, including former CNN journalist Don Lemon, had already been charged. Attorney General Pam Bondi said federal agents have arrested 25 of the newly indicted individuals, with more arrests expected. A grand jury later returned indictments against Lemon and eight others, charging conspiracy against the right of religious freedom at a place of worship and interfering with that right. Lemon has pleaded not guilty and claims the case has broader implications for journalists. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced that Scouting America, formerly the Boy Scouts of America, has agreed to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and clarify that membership is based solely on biological sex at birth in order to maintain its longstanding relationship with the military. The Department of War had threatened to withdraw its support, including access to military bases and logistical assistance for major events such as the 2026 National Jamboree in West Virginia, because the organization embraced “radical, woke ideology.” An agreement has now been reached. Applications will list only male or female, consistent with the applicant’s birth certificate, and biological boys and girls will not share intimate spaces such as tents, showers, or restrooms. Scouting America also stated that youth have always joined according to their biological sex and that transgender youth, who have been accepted since 2017, will continue to be welcomed under its existing policies. Modern Scouting is a mere shadow of its former self. At its peak in 1972, it had roughly 6.5 million total members... Today, with the word “Boy” removed from the name, Scouting reports approximately 1 million youth members as of early 2026, including girls across all programs.
