The global movement to make the Bible available in every language is gaining remarkable momentum, with new figures showing historic progress in translation efforts. Released on United Nations’ International Translation Day, September 30, the latest statistics from Wycliffe Bible Translators highlight how one of the greatest barriers to Christian mission—the absence of Scripture in people’s native languages—is rapidly being overcome. In the past year alone, 118 new Bible and New Testament translations have been released — an average of one every three days. Just 12 months earlier, 985 languages were identified as suitable for translation, though no portion of the Bible had been started in them. That number has now fallen dramatically by 44% to 550. In 2021, the figure stood at 1,892. This year’s progress means that for the first time, 197 million people now have the entire Bible available in their heart language - a number equivalent to the population of Brazil. A further 54 million people received access to the New Testament. Despite the rapid progress, Wycliffe reports that around 1 in 5 people worldwide—some 1.5 billion individuals—still lack the Bible in their language. The organisation is urging continued support until all languages are covered. The American people have woken up to the dangerous and hateful fraud that is the legacy media. According to Gallup, which has measured trust in mass media for 50 years, that trust just hit another record low. Only 28 percent trust the corporate media. “Americans’ confidence in the mass media has edged down to a new low, with just 28% expressing a ‘great deal’ or ‘fair amount’ of trust in newspapers, television and radio to report the news fully, accurately and fairly,” reports Gallup. “This is down from 31% last year and 40% five years ago.” “When Gallup began measuring trust in the news media in the 1970s, between 68% and 72% of Americans expressed confidence in reporting,” the report adds. Well, that makes sense. That was during the Walter Cronkite and Watergate era, before people had access to any kind of alternative media. No conservative talk radio. No internet. No cable news. “However, by the next reading in 1997, public confidence had fallen to 53%.” Only 28 percent of those aged 18-29 trust the media. Only 23 percent of those aged 30-64 trust the media. Even those aged 65+ only trust the media at a 43 percent rate. More than 8,000 college students gathered on Tuesday at the University of Tennessee to worship Jesus Christ at a UniteUS campus event, the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) reported. UniteUS is an evangelistic Christian organization that does outreach toward Generation Z and presents the Gospel on college campuses across the country. Their most recent stop was at the Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. The ministry reported that 500 students affirmed that they repented and accepted Jesus’s free gift of salvation, and many were baptized in a public display of faith outside of the arena. Japan has welcomed its first female prime minister in the country’s history. Sanae Takaichi, 64, defeated her centrist opponent Shinjiro Koizumi, in a runoff election at the Liberal Democratic Party headquarters in Tokyo and will now lead the Japanese government. She is described as a protege of late former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and has served in multiple government roles, including security minister. Despite being among the world’s most powerful countries, Japan faces a multitude of challenges including a massive budget deficit, inflation and an alarmingly low birth rate. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/10/japan-welcomes-first-female-prime-minister-former-heavy/ Bible translation accelerates as millions receive Scripture in their own language:
