Japan’s PM Shigeru Ishiba Resigns as Critics Call His ‘African Hometown’ Program a Gateway to Mass Migration:

Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba announced Sunday he will step down as his Liberal Democratic Party slumps in the polls and critics blast his government over its “African Hometown” program seen as a backdoor scheme to enable mass migration from Africa to Japan.

Last month the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) designated four Japanese cities to participate in the Africa Hometown program with four cities in Mozambique, Nigeria, Ghana, and Tanzania.

The Nigerian government immediately announced Japan would “create a special visa category for highly skilled, innovative, and talented young Nigerians who want to move to Kisarazu to live and work.” Kisarazu is the Japanese city chosen to pair with Nigeria.

“Artisans and other blue-collar workers from Nigeria who are ready to upskill will also benefit from the special dispensation visa to work in Japan,” the Nigerian statement said.

The Japanese public erupted in fury at the announcement, their anger further heightened when they discovered Google Maps was suddenly identifying the Kisarazu city office as the “Nigerian city office.”

Japan is suffering from one of the worst demographic declines in the world and was once cited as the premier example of a society and economy deformed by low birth rates, although some other countries have since found themselves in even worse predicaments.

The Japanese government has identified population decline as one of the most urgent crises faced by the world’s fourth-largest economy.

The controversy reflects the growing wave of anti-immigration sentiment in Japan mirrored in the rise of the right-wing Sanseito party which saw big wins in recent parliamentary elections after campaigning on a “Japanese First” message.

South Korea’s Dangerous Shift to Communism: Prosecutors Abolished, Media and Data Reports Brought Under State Control, Opposition Jailed:

On September 7, President Lee Jae-myung’s administration announced a radical reorganization plan that, according to critics, dismantles prosecutorial independence, centralizes media oversight, and places national statistics under direct political command.

Officials describe this as “streamlining government” and “reducing fiscal burdens,” but many observers warn it may represent the construction of a one-party system, resembling patterns historically seen in communist regimes.

A Radical Overhaul in the Name of “Efficiency”

This change eliminates the semi-independent prosecutorial system and consolidates both indictment and investigation within the executive branch.

Seizing Control of the Media

The plan also dismantles the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) and creates a new Broadcasting and Media Commission, consolidating all broadcasting and telecommunications authority. By merging functions previously divided between the KCC and the Ministry of Science and ICT, the government centralizes licensing, oversight, and penalties for broadcasters and online platforms.

With this new body chaired by a deputy prime minister-level official, the ruling party and the presidential office would gain a direct line of command over what Koreans watch, hear, and read.

This structure bears a strong resemblance to the roles of China’s National Radio and Television Administration and the Cyberspace Administration, which coordinate censorship and propaganda under the direction of the Communist Party.

Manipulating Reality Through Data

Perhaps most alarming, the reorganization removes the independence of the national statistics agency (Statistics Korea) by transforming it into the National Data Agency, directly under the Prime Minister.

Why This Matters to the Free World

South Korea has long been celebrated as one of Asia’s most vibrant allies of the United States and a beacon of free governance. Yet, if this plan is implemented, its institutions may no longer operate as democratic checks and balances. Instead, they risk becoming tools of the ruling party — silencing dissent, rewriting economic reality, and prosecuting political opponents under a veneer of legality.  This is not mere bureaucratic reshuffling. Critics warn it is a deliberate step toward the construction of a one-party system.

The Dragon’s House of Cards: China’s Debt Could Total 400% of GDP:

Last month marked the collapse of China’s Evergrande, once the world’s most indebted developer with $300 billion in liabilities. The real estate sector remains a debt bubble, fueled by roughly $695 billion in new government-approved loans.

While the property crisis has been widely reported, the broader scale of China’s debt problem is less understood. Official figures show that public and private debt combined already exceed 309% of GDP, yet even this number understates the true scope.

When other sources of leverage are factored in, such as margin trading, shadow banking through wealth management products, and off-balance-sheet local government borrowing, China’s total debt burden climbs to at least 400 percent of GDP.

Household consumption has also failed to recover. Retail sales remain well below pre-pandemic trends, as falling property values create a negative wealth effect. High unemployment, especially among the young, has further dampened spending.

The most visible problem is real estate. Years of overbuilding left millions of unsold apartments and developers like Evergrande collapsing under impossible debts. Housing sales have fallen below 2017 levels, and government rescue schemes, such as buying up vacant units, are far too small to stabilize the market.

Beijing has launched a $1.4 trillion initiative that includes a debt swap program allowing local governments to exchange short-term LGFV liabilities for longer-term, lower-cost bonds. The central bank has also unveiled an even broader plan to tackle hidden local debt through 2026. Yet shifting liabilities from local to central balance sheets does nothing to resolve the deeper problem of excessive and often unproductive borrowing.

Nepal Leaders Blocked Social Media, Sparking a MASS REVOLT – Mob Sets Fire to Parliament, Supreme Court, President’s Office, Government Buildings, Hotels and Politicians Houses:

The south Asian Republic of Nepal is currently engulfed in total chaos, as the widespread, unstoppable protests, led primarily by Gen Z activists, turned to violence and destruction.

Order broke down erupted in Kathmandu after the government tried to enact a social media ban – but is rooted in unrest over rampant government corruption.

The demonstrations turned violent when police used tear gas, rubber bullets, and live ammunition, resulting in at least 19 deaths and hundreds of injuries.

Protesters stormed key government buildings, including the Parliament and the Prime Minister’s office, escalating tensions and prompting a curfew and army deployment.  Again, the unrest intensified as demonstrators defied the curfew, and are setting fire to government buildings and the residences of top officials, including the President and former Prime Minister.

The Parliament, the Supreme Court, the ruling party’s central office, the Supreme Court building, the president’s office, and the government complex are all, on fire, as well as the Hilton hotel and the main local broadcaster offices.

Politicians are being taken out of their houses and beaten, paraded on the streets to be abused by the mob.  The wife of a former prime minister was reportedly burned alive inside her house.

Poland says it shot down Russian drones that violated its airspace during bombardment of Ukraine:

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Poland said early Wednesday that it and its NATO allies had shot down Russian drones that violated Polish airspace in what it called an “act of aggression” as Russia launched aerial attacks on Ukraine.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media that “Last night the Polish airspace was violated by a large number of Russian drones. Those drones that posed a direct threat were shot down.”

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said that early indications suggest the drone incident was intentional.

“Last night in Poland we saw the most serious European airspace violation by Russia since the war began, and indications suggest it was intentional, not accidental,” Kallas said in a statement.
